Sidekick Scouts: A Commentary and Review
The theme song was great but I’m getting tired of repeating myself.
KO is feeling unsure about his path as a hero because of what Chip Damage has done, so he decides to try and become a sidekick. This fails spectacularly because he actually fights instead of assisting, but it catches Combo Breaker’s eye and makes him want to become KO’s sidekick. KO is unsure about it, but agrees. He takes Combo to the bodega where he proceeds to get in his way, leading KO to yell at him. Ernesto and Jethro attackand KO gets over how much Combo reminds him of himself in order to defeat the boxbots.
This...was not what I was expecting from Combo Breaker. Thank you, fandom. This episode really caught me off guard.
The “armory,” bath towel, lightning nachos, pickle jar incident and calling Combo Breaker a nuisance were all references to Let’s Be Friends.
KO is unreasonably funny in this episode. He’s stressed as heck and he has to cover Rad and Enid’s line.
If Combo Breaker is a cyborg, what part of him is human? He looks all robot.
Rating: 9/10. Once you get used to Combo Breaker, it’s actually pretty enjoyable.
Number of holes in roof: 1. At least it’s something...
