Meet in the spring of 1917 along the riverbanks of the Neva River. One drunken night, Sid + Fen were walking along during the the “Rusalka Week.” Where the riverbanks crest over and flood the countryside. The cousins hear music playing and woman whispers. When the boys went to check it out, they found Rusalki dancing on top of the water. And Talia caught Sidney’s eye. They walked closer to the Rusalki clan + Talia reached out to Sid.
Her legs looked like they sprouted from the water + her blonde hair had water lilies braided into it. Talia kissed Sidney and tried to pull him under the water. To drown him. Only realizing after he grew gills to, that he was someone like her.
