No longer confined to the chibi dimension! (Though Teto does make an adorable chibi)
I stopped watching She-Ra to make this :v
Honestly, my goal this month was to get quicker at drawing and it's still taking about 2 hours per piece... I *am* doing more though, so maybe I'm getting better :/?
Anyway "shading." Apparently you just fiddle with the saturation and not the brightness like you'd expect (vast oversimplification for which I have no evidence)
BTW you should also listen to Birdbrain by @jamiepaige and OK Glass
@sidoopa 's animation is also super fun to watch :)
It's so bouncy! <3
Don't forget your dailies!
Vault Dweller Yancy “Tidy” Bakker for @sidoopa, my Fallout Secret Santa 2020 giftee
🩸 for denver!! 🧸 for tycho!! 🎭 for beaumont!!
🩸 - Does your OC believe in blood being thicker than water? (meaning family relationships and loyalties are the most important)
Denver sooorta does? He does value family, relations, and loyalties, and while in the vault did believe in the saying. Once he left though he started to drift away from believing the saying since he learned he’d more than that to help get around.
🧸 - On a scale of 1 - 10, how ‘soft’ is your OC? 1 being the edgiest of edges and 10 being a literal teddy bear that cries at everything? (Bonus questions, where on the scale would your OC place themselves, and where would they like to be on the scale?)
Tycho is very much not soft in the terms of being soft. He’d probably be towards 3-4 mainly, and that would be about where he would put himself as well. Denver on the other hand would stick him at 7-8 on the scale.
🎭 - Does your OC show different sides of themselves to different people?
Beaumont does, even with how much he would rather not. It’s something he’s done from since he was little and is largely a habit now. He is getting better for it now though and starting to mostly keep true to himself, but there are some people he will always show a different side to, like either his parents or the higher ups in the NCR.
Zac gets to see the best side of him of course.
😊😀😫 cool as hell artist with cool as hell ocs whats not to like!!!!!! yr stuff is just a lot of fun tbh and you seem like a pretty cool person so. yea!!

my robot’s keeper aka a Tidy Fallout: New Vegas AU
for @sidoopa, my Fallout Secret Santa 2020 giftee
my last gift for you! sorry it’s so late. I saw your post about courier Tidy and I had to do something!! I was so inspired!
---
Tidy could hear the insistent beeps of ED-E behind them, the mechanical whir stuttering every so often.
“Now is not a great time, ED-E. Keep it together.”
But they knew how prone the little eyebot was to overheating. Especially in a poorly ventilated and dilapidated building like this one. It didn’t matter how good the scavenging was here, what technical goodies could be found amongst the rubble, if ED-E wasn’t going to make it out with them, then it didn’t matter.
And Tidy was pretty sure they couldn’t carry a completely powered-down eyebot.
ED-E's beeps sounded pitiful, resigned to its fate. Or Tidy was humanizing the robot a bit too much. Really, anything was possible at this point.
There was a loud clash of something large and metallic hitting the tiled floor up ahead. Fear froze Tidy in their tracks, their ears straining to pick up more sounds and the direction they were coming from. It didn't take long to be rewarded with the thud of footsteps and coarse laughter rolling down the hall, crashing against their body like violent waves on a still beach. Fiends.
ED-E emitted a low, quiet beep as if to spur the courier into action. And the little robot was right, it was move now or move never again. Tidy backed up slowly, corralling ED-E towards the utility closet they passed a few moments before. If they could just hide in there until the Fiends lost interest or moved deeper into the building, they could make a break for it.
The closet wasn't very large, just enough room for a courier and their robot. But that spelled disaster for ED-E whose cooling fans immediately went into overdrive, rivaling the whoosh of the eyebot flotation devices. The heat generated from ED-E only worsened the situation, even causing Tidy to shed their duster.
It was clear this was not going to work. They were too noisy for the tiny room right off the main hallway. Tidy didn't even want to think what would happen if the Fiends found them. They definitely weren't the Legion, but Tidy knew trouble when they saw it. It only took a month out of the NCR territory to learn that.
So there was only one thing to do.
"ED-E, you need to power down."
Courier Dorothy “Mouse” Locke for @sidoopa, my Fallout Secret Santa 2020 giftee
the oc ask meme thing - 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 99, for zac and beaumont!! love those two so much ;; also sorry if this is wayyy too many questions lol
9. Why is their name, their name?
There’s no true special reason for why their names are their names. For Zac is purely cause I, myself, really like the name. For Beaumont, besides being plucked from the game, would have picked the name himself as He had someone he looked up to who shared the name, and so he picked it.
18. What flaws do they have?
For Zac some of his are he will jump to conclusions after being presented with some information, and that he’s too headstrong. Over the years he’s become a bit less headstrong, though he’s still very much strong willed. He still does jump to conclusions often though.
Beaumont often puts others above himself and leaves himself lacking in protection/care. While helpful sometimes, it’s lead himself to actually being physically injured more than once. He’s been told he does this, but he’ll deny it.
27. Are they more book smart or street smart?
Both of them are more to the street smart of things, but a bit of the different ends of street smarts. Beaumont knows more how to deal with people while Zac has a much easier time with environmental kinda stuff.
36. How is their family life?
Zac’s got himself a pretty good family life. He likes his parents and they’re both good to him, while he’ll still do usual sibling tease kinda stuff he still gets along with his younger brother. He does look up to his mother and he learned a lot of what he knows about survival from her. He even has himself a son in Rook who he loves.
Beaumont on the other hand has a less than stellar family life. He had four other siblings and he was smack dab in the middle of the line, and there was extended family living on the family ranch too. While he holds no animosity towards anyone, he still feels he very much did not have a fun time while living with any of them. He’s got a less than stellar relationship with his parents who, while not being outright malicious, made it clear that they very much did not accept him when he came out.
45. Are they opposed to violence?
Beaumont is, but will use it as a last resort. He’d rather not, but he does know that sometimes it’s the only language people know and will get his point across.
While Zac would rather not, he’s much less opposed to using it right off the bat than Beaumont. Especially towards situations that have the potential to harm those he cares about.
54. How do they cope with sadness?
Beaumont usually either does something to keep his mind off stuff, or tries to fix just whatever it is that’s got him feeling that way. He’s very much got the mind set of he can’t just let something drag him down.
Zac on the other hand is a bit of a mope about it, least that’s what others describe it as. Zac does have depression and it does hit him hard quite often, so there’s times where really he finds he can’t really make himself do much about it.
63. Have they ever harmed anyone and regretted it? Verbally or physically?
Plenty of times for Beaumont. While he knows it’s part of the job with being a ranger that he’s bound to harm someone, it still occasionally weighs heavy on him. Especially when he’s had to harm someone who seems like they could change but might not now after their experience with him.
For Zac it was the time that he got mad at Beaumont for not leaving the NCR at the same time as him. He did plenty of yelling at him before storming off. He knows that he was at a time of extreme distress and that he was still very much in the wrong to have gotten mad at Beaumont like he did.
72. What is their motto?
If Beaumont were to have a motto it would probably be something along the lines of “do no harm, take no shit”. Fits well with the things he stands by.
For Zac it would probably be “come hell or high water”, which he does have engraved on his lighter.
81. Do they have any tattoos? If so, are they significant?
Zac does not have any tattoos, but Beaumont has a small one in an unfortunate spot. It doesn’t mean anything to him but that he shouldn’t get drunk anywhere near where people offer tattoos unless he wants a partner for the little cowboy on his ass.
99. Are they co-dependent?
Neither of them are!
