Sifhounds
Sifhounds are large, powerful, shaggy canines approximately the size of a large cattle animal, covered in greenish-grey fur all over except for on their heads which are a pale grey color with crimson or silver eyes, pale tongues, and glistening white fangs. Sifhounds are thought to be a being of the Fae family, fallen servants of Hermaya and devout worshipers of Somas, as misguided as their means of worship may seem. Sifhouds are said to have an incredibly powerful hypnotic air about them, being able to entice those who travel on foot through deep forest paths into following them far off of a trail or road simply by looking to them and then walking away. When the victim of a sifhound's spell is drawn deep enough into the woods, the sifhound will turn to look at them one last time, breaking the spell and wondering off once more to leave the traveler alone. What's most curious is the journey one is forced to make in following a sifhound, for while sifhounds themselves are typically not dangerous in single numbers, they do seem to hold some grand magical ability to drag one through from the mortal plain of existence to a parallel realm only accessible to other kind of Faebreed of their general ilk. Of the few tales that account following a sifhound and living through the trek back to civilization, most victims claim that their forced travel through a sifhound's netherworld opened their minds and permanently scarred images of another existance depe into their minds. People who've come into contact with a sifhound claim that at night they can hear a howling unlike anything an animal could make on it's own just before falling deep asleep and dreaming of open fields full of willow-wisps. Often times these dreams will drive a victim to a peaceful way of life but sometimes they may be drawn to suicide for unknown reasons. Luckily, sifhounds are native only to northwestern Kurth and the likelihood of encountering one is indeed very low. But should you see a sifhound, look away before it meets your gaze. If you follow one, it's best to follow them long after they abandon their spell on you for they are said to also act as a guide back to another path should you do so.
