(like seriously, why you not canon ლ(ಠ益ಠ)ლ)brotp: surprisingly, mizoguchi notp: n/afirst headcanon that pops into my head: he was extremely confused and off-put when kazuki came home with baby!soushi (i also h/c that they’ve had a conversation similar to this: “So you and Minashiro-kun finally tied the knot? Make sure to send me an invite.” “Dad, this IS soushi.” it was awkward as hell for days after that)favorite line from this character: “I hope what lies ahead of active self-denial is absolute affirmation. I hope Kazuki and you will be able to reach that level someday.” [Season 1 idr which ep] (I know he basically talking about Kazuki finally getting out his self-denial, but I still cant help but think of this as a blessing for  fumihiko passing the torch onto Soushi in terms of kazuki’s well-being one way in which I relate to this character: his conversations with kazuki often mirror the ones me and my dad have. thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: anytime he has a conversation with kazuki (he tries, he really does. someone should give him a gold star)cinnamon roll or problematic fave?: cinnamon roll

Disclaimer: This came about because I thought Yurei sent me a Kozo/Soushi prompt when it was supposed to be Koyo/Soushi. Sorry about that! m(｡_｡；))m

Warning: Some mentions of manipulation. Don’t like, don’t read.

“My condolences,Soushi-kun.” Fumihiko finally ended his talk with Soushi. He gave otheryounger boy a nod and left the room.

Soushi breathed out,grateful that their discussion over Soushi’s duties and personal matters wereover. He reclined in the chair for a few moments, trying to absorb what hadhappened today. Fighting in the Siegfried System with Kazuki… that had been anexperience that had been exciting, but also an eye-opener for him. He hadn’tbeen aware that Kazuki… No, he had known that Kazuki had always felt guilty forhis actions towards him, but that Kazuki was this affected… That had been asurprise for him.

But now that they hadwere defenders of the island, he thought that Kazuki would probably be able tounderstand why he had acted as such—they had been close, once upon a time—and evenif he didn’t understand, that was fine. All he needed to do was to protect theisland.

His mind slowlywandered away from his thoughts about Kazuki to his darker musings about hisfather. He wondered if the other adults had known what had transpired betweenthem back then, before Soushi had left the island. Then again, it would bebetter if they remained unaware of it.

“No one needs to know.”He muttered to himself.

That was true. No oneneeded to know what went on between them. Not even Kazuki.

No one needed to knowwhat went on between them and it would stay that way for the rest of his life.Soushi closed his eyes, trying to regain some semblance of normalcy in thedarkness of the resting lounge.

He had decided. He wasgoing to use one of the rooms in the Alvis. There was no point in returning toan empty house and if he stayed in the Alvis, he would be able to get to theSiegfried System quickly if there was a sudden attack. Besides, he had neverseen that house as his home. Not when his… father had been there and certainlynot now.

In a way, he was gladthat he was dead. While his father had been a leader who had been able to makehard choices to keep the peace of their island, at the expense of many otherpeople, he had also been a father with many flaws. One of which was the manipulationof Soushi himself and some of the others.

But that was a thingof the past, Soushi shook his head, there was no point in bringing this upanymore. Let bygones be bygones, as they said.
