I adore your Queen of Hell wardrobe. What do you imagine for the bedroom furnishings? The castle? Does she have pet hell hounds? What about Trixie as the Princess of Hell? GIVE ME EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Thank you! Hell—in my various imaginings but specifically in some infinitely gentle (infinitely suffering) thing—very much relies on middle eastern/south asia/northern africa style aesthetics. It's a volcanic desert, essentially. Lucifer's palace is literally carved into the mountains, the Spine, as it protects the Palace from incursion on one direction and a barrier from sandstorms. Think Marrakech, think Petra:

Palace Demons are often punished by laying out mosaic tile in increasingly intricate and convoluted patterns or sent to scrub ash and sand out of the grout. But it's a lot of open hallways and stone arches, like this:

The inner areas of the palace, such as Lucifer's personal quarters a little darker, but similar vibes.

Chloe absolutely has pet Hellhounds, chiefly Aamon of the Great Den, Hound of the First Mark, Superior in the Hunt.

Summary:

Lucifer presses his palms to cool stone and pushes himself upright. “I wish to see the damage done to Hell myself. Gather an escort.”

She bows and retreats from the balcony.

He hasn’t walked the streets of Hell for ages. His word from the Palace has always been enough. But that was before. Before a demon attempted to hold the throne, before they started to slip through the gate, before the realm itself began to decay.

Perhaps it's time the demons be reminded just who it is that resides among them, whether he’s of Hell or not.

hell world-building

@holdhertightandsayhername requested this over on ao3, so I thought I’d share some things. This is for some infinitely gentle (infinitely suffering) thing. In regards to Lucifer’s clothing, some of the inspiration can be found in my Lucifer King of Hell Wear tag but the main inspiration is actually Indian grooms-wear. Lots of black and red and gold. 

It would typically be worn with only the outer layer when presiding in the Palace as a show of strength. Unprotected skin indicates fearlessness and confidence.

like that ^ it’s also similar to how he wears his dressing gowns around Lux.

The chains he would wear when he’s in Full Ceremony is inspired by these guys 

and the markings of the various clans and bloodlines he would be painted with are inspired by these. 

A sort of mishmash of different markings, head to toe. The Mark of the Lilim, and specifically of the Masahk who protect him, would spiral down his arm to the top of his right hand. ALSO, I just really wanted to put Lucifer in gold eyeshadow. Fight me. lol

She loves when he gets like this, both here with her and not here at all, lost in the act, in the desire. His true kingdom. The motion of their bodies, the heat generated between them. She curls her hand around the back of his neck, holds him close as his hips pin her to the wall again and again. His heavy breaths unfurl against her collarbones, her neck.

The cool stone feels good against her feverish, bare skin. His palm slides under her knee, lifts it higher. The angle shifts, feels even better. She moans softly into his ear.

How do you think Lucifer actually took control of Hell? What would Chloe and Lucifer’s crowns look like (if they have them?) Do they have a status symbols or tools/castle/servants? If so what is it like/their duties? What are C and Ls duties? Is there any flowers or plants that grow in Hell? Animals? What are the demons like and how do they treat Chloe? What are the personal living chambers of the Queen and King of Hell like? What is Hell like?

I feel like I'm getting pumped for information, anon. These are a lot of questions. This is my hell, ya hear? You'll have to worldbuild your own. 😅 Honestly, my hell worldbuild is all in some infinitely
