OK so my favourite bsd polycule is Sigmatsulucy + Akutagawa

Basically it's that meme where there's a polyamourous group and one of the people in the group isn't dating anyone he's just there.

Here's the dynamics:

Atsushi and Lucy: Dating

Sigma and Atsushi: either dating or in a qpr

Sigma and Lucy: either also dating or close friends that are down to live together and maybe even get married in the future who knows

Sigmatsulucy are all living together in this scenario and even if Sigma is in a qpr with Atsushi and friends with Lucy instead of dating both of them, they're still just as close and important in the relationship.

Akutagawa isn't dating anyone (I headcanon him as AroAce), but he and Atsushi eventually form a sort of frenemies queerplatonic relationship. He doesn't live with the group, but because him and Atsushi are basically bonded he's ends up with the group pretty often and is basically an honourary member of the polycule.

He butt's heads with Lucy at first but they chill out, and he gets on with Sigma surprisingly well at first cause it turns out they're similar in some ways.

He still lives in his own apartment but sometimes he'll spend time at their place and maybe even spend nights there.

How the polycule sleeps

(Basically an addition to my last post on Sigmatsulucy sleeping habits, but this one is more just for fun and it has Akutagawa too)

V1:

Atsushi - curled up at the end of the bed like a cat

Sigma - on his back with full nightgown and little cap

Lucy - sprawled out and surrounded by plushies

Akutagawa - hanging from the ceiling cause that vampire dna had some leftovers + he's emo

V2:

Trick question, they all have insomnia so they're all either up talking or watching a movie together and in various stages of drifting off/passing out from exhaustion and waking up again

V3:

They all sleep in a group like animal packs do because its nice to fall asleep with the warmth of other people

Sigmatsulucy sleeping habits headcanons

(Mostly Lucy)

Atsushi and Sigma both have difficulty sleeping (for Atsushi, Byakko can still get restless at night and he occasionally has nightmares, for Sigma he never had a healthy sleep schedule before and is still struggling to adapt to one), so sometimes if neither of them can sleep they'll watch a movie together in the living room.

Lucy has her bad nights, but more often she's actually a deep sleeper. But If she wakes up and notices they've left, she'll go to wherever they are with the blanket and fall right back asleep either between them or lying on top of one of them.

Occasionally they'll end up just talking in the kitchen or out on the balcony until either of them feels tired enough, and in those cases Lucy might just check up on them and go back to bed, or if she's awake enough she'll just stay with them and lean on one of their shoulders half asleep. Even if she's tired, the company and just listening to her partners talk to eachother while she rests is nice and calming.

In the orphanage Lucy would always sleep in Anne's room, and she knew she was safe in there so she never had trouble sleeping. Even with the Guild she would sleep in Anne's room. She only struggled sleeping at the start of her and Atsushi's relationship because she wasn't used to having someone with her and not being protected in her room. Lucy knew she could trust Atsushi though, and after some time adgusting she was able to sleep better again.

Eventually when Sigma joined their relationship, she had problems sleeping again, but because at this point her and Atsushi had already known Sigma for some time and knew he was trustworthy, it didn't take too long for her to get back to her regular sleeping pattern.

After getting used to sleeping with the two of them, Lucy found herself more physically comfortable with them. Even when she's awake she'll usually find herself leaning on one of them or just resting her head or hand on them casually.

Lucy likes to caccoon herself when she sleeps. Usually she'll surround herself with stuffed toys, and after getting into a relationship she also likes to surround herself with her partners. She's most often the middle spoon, but sometimes she's on the edge and just surrounded by plushies.
