🚨 PSA: Instagram Account “Sigma Analysis” Threatening Legal Action Against Private Users 🚨
This is a warning about the Instagram account @sigma.analysis, known for posting and selling literary analyses of Bungou Stray Dogs characters via Patreon.
A user legally purchased one of these analyses and privately shared it in a locked Google Doc with a small group chat for commentary. No one redistributed the analysis publicly or profited from it. It remained private.
However, a peripheral member of that group chat secretly took screenshots of the doc’s comments (which included names) and sent them to @sigma.analysis without informing the others. The following points include screenshots of how this went down.
@sigma.analysis then:
Posted the screenshots publicly on Instagram, exposing private usernames to her followers, and encouraging them to find those involved. ↓
Accused the group of piracy (false). ↓
Refused peaceful communication, and instead demanded personal information from users under threats of public exposure and legal action. ↓
Did not stop even after being informed that multiple users involved are minors.↓
One of the users who attempted peaceful communication was blocked and hacked shortly afterward.↓
Another member received a threatening email suggesting their private info was obtained without consent.↓
This is a serious overstep. No laws were broken, and this response is escalating into coercion, doxxing, and intimidation.
Please be cautious when engaging with @sigma.analysis and think twice before supporting or interacting with their content.
