I love vmapires.

I've watched 2 vampire animes in this month. and it's only 7 days in and now I'm filled with the urge to make my own stupid little secret anime vampire society.

okeay so. there are pureblood vamps and vamps who are turned, purebloods are vampires who aren't turned and born by vamp parents, there are different tiers because let's be honest here nobody is gonna not get with a turned vamp for an entire lineage.

so, there are purebloods who don't have any ancestors who were turned, these are usually. really old. boomers. and then ones who have them but it's pretty long ago, and then ones who are technically purebloods but their grandparents, parents, and other close ancestors who were turned.

this does not!!! include their kids/who they get with, someone might be a pureblood, but their son in law isn't or something!!

the main difference is also that turned vampires are generally younger, less diabolical, and instead of maturing into whatever age they would be at their peak at, they just instantly freeze at the age they were turned at, also they have an easier time blending into society!!

that last bit is mostly due to the fact being raised in a human culture helps blend in with it, but a vamp raised in vamp society could totally blend in with humans too, they would just have to learn how their culture works/how humans work KDJGHHJFSK

the way a vampire is turned is via an enzyme that vampires can secrete, this doesn't mean they always are though :) then, one can either be turned by being bitten or by drinking that vampires blood

if you're normally bitten, you just get slurped like a Capri sun, if you drink a vamps blood normally you uh. get ghouled. nerd.

whereas a vampires enzyme makes you immediately immortal, their blood without that enzyme makes you immediately start to like. rot from the outside in, meaning important organs are often the last to go, so. not the best way to go.

this is why vampires have to be disposed of very well when they die though!! if they weren't producing the enzyme a bunch of animals will die a needlessly painful death, if they were, then you'll have a bunch of immortal, vampiric scavengers to deal with.

of course, vampires aren't fully immortal and can be killed via a few methods, usually you need specific blessed weapons to basically exorcise the vampirism out of them, and once you have the purebloods turn into dust but turned vampires go to whatever state they should be at at that point, so they could just turn into an old person, all vampires can also be killed by other vampires.

with that out of the way!!!! what do I. mean. by diabolical, you may ask! and I say, you ever heard of tieflings. like with them, I imagine that their appearance can become more monstrous, vampires often taking on the traits of mammalian predators!

i fucking love me a good transformative species, so they can switch between this "true" form and humanoid one, turned vampires don't have this, as the transformation would be incredibly painful and maybe kill them, common traits are bat ears, even more teeth, and cat-like pupils!!!

purebloods are also more commonly born with unnatural hair colours!! turned vampires have whatever hair colour they had when they were born human :)
