Boy, I'm really wired right now. I just want to hug all of you and then do a backflip or something.

Wait, I gotta said that like a poet.

The energy flows through my veins like crack on crack on crack

I took  my meds, so why this now? Wherefore is this attack?

My darling Homestucks, other nerds, and other tumblrs still,

Embracing you flirts with my head until I've had my fill

And stunts too dangerous for me are begging for their turn

So why this frazzle? Why this thrill? And why this sudden burn?

Seriously, I have no idea. But thanks for following me. Lately going onto tumblr has just been one of the highlights of my day. NOW COME ON, MEDS! ACTIVATE, YE MIGHTY CAPSULES!

Several months ago I posted a recording of myself reading a short little story I had written. Not long after, out of pure curiosity, I synced up that recording with the track 'Austin, Atlantis' by Clark "Plazmataz" Powell from 'Homestuck Vol. 9'. (If you've heard my story before, you'll see why that track in particular). The result somehow synced up surprisingly well. I was going through some folders the other day and found it again, and thought, 'why not post it here?'

LightningStorm: An Experiment (working title)

My heartbeat goes a little bit like this.

I know it's me with every rise and fall, but another beat that scarcely I can recall makes me fall and all and all: I don't like this. But, disheveled, I shake it off and stand again I've waited for this moment for a year. I daily prayed to summon forth the rain, And now the thunder crashes on my ear. "So crash!" I said, "Oh, crash and do your worst!" And welcomed thunder in with open arms, and then suddenly confidence in my hard-earned charms  you gave me weakened, and with none to save me-- GOD!, I think I'm finally back where I was first. To think! that I, who daily prayed for rain, And begged a thunderclap to fill the air Might find my courage falter under strain Despite the width I thought was surely there! But resounding pulse, you've been impurely mixed. And what a culprit to adulterate! When I had thought my inner-clockwork fixed... Is this to teach, or simply to berate? My heartbeat, I recall, goes just like this. THAT sound is foreign, but I've been abroad. My heartbeat, I am sure, should go like this. But who knows better? Me? The thunder? God?

Head-Full

Don't peer into my soul, because you'll find it full of lies.

Escaping from the enemy to that which you despise.

Here are some rules for you to take to heart. Heed well my speech,

And one day find another man to whom this lesson teach.

"Don't put your trust in just yourself, you have to trust your friends.

But gut instincts take precedence; though when, I think, depends.

Your parents should be trusted, they know so much more than you,

But don't forget that social change is old thrown out by new.

Policemen are your friends, but they are human, so beware.

The court of law means nothing when it is AND isn't fair.

You give your power to the people which you deem the best,

But on what grounds I cannot say, it's murky as the rest.

To date, the facts we hold as true are never truly so.

The news is slanted even when its tellers do not know.

With all of this uncertainty, there's little to stand by-

But I will list here what I can, that you might one day try:

If God exists cannot be said- for this, you should rejoice.

With evidence on either side, it means it is a CHOICE.

The fact that there's no clear-cut fact is truly a reprieve...

It's up to you and you alone to say that you believe.

While GOPs and Democrats may argue on the facts,

The truth is, someone KNOWS the truth- this heavily distracts.

Such figures twist, or are made up, bizarre for simple fact-

But God is not so simple, and, of course, not so exact.

If free will is the thing that makes it great to be alive,

Then let's all stand together, and decide, decide, decide.

Decide that we're uncertain. Or decide that we are sure.

Our choices, being ours, will mean a macrocosm more

Than those we make Election Day, when we are misinformed.

We'll KNOW that we know nothing, and our passions shall be warmed.

We'll be OK with other views, they'll be OK with ours.

And nothing will oppress us with its advertising powers."

So don't peer in my head, because you'll find it full of lies.

Escaping from the enemy to that which I despise.

I'm cutting to bare minimum. Rejecting every truth.

I hope that you all join me to go frolic in our youth.

Portal 2 Poem

Hey guys, wrote this great poem regarding Portal 2 the other day, thought you would like it! FYI, the break is there because of spoilers. Beat single player before reading this!

CAVE JOHNSON DIES

“Cave Johnson here, give your attention please.

I'd best not hear a God-forsaken sound

So set your goddamned tools upon the ground

And listen to the words I have to wheeze!

I'm dying, men. My heartbeat's getting slight.

But science still goes on, don't fail me now.

Much progress waits the man who makes the vow

To take an open mind into the night.

It's sure as hell that's something that I'll do!

And once you morons reach the other side,

And find that floating barge where I'll reside,

Such wonders as Black Mesa never knew!

A team of peers of yours, and all deceased

Have kept their auras idle far too long.

They thought they could escape me? They were wrong,

It's on their contracts, signed and sealed and leased.

And yet I worry. Testing is the thing

That makes each lab boy tick and lady swoon (without a gas mask, shipments coming soon),

But what else does this modern past time bring?

Well, lots of pride. And pretty sparks and bangs.

And chew toys for the military dogs.

The sloshing pipes and slowly creaking cogs

Are pain reliever to my carpal pangs.

So men, goodbye, I wish you all the best,

Except for Steve.” The speaker clicked to mute.

“Hush, Caroline my dear, stay resolute.

For here before me is the final test.

Cave Johnson didn't leave the world the same,

Cave Johnson, they will say, sure left a mark.

He made the future walking in the park.

But will the man return from whence he came?”

A hearty laugh. A heart attack. A sigh.

Her last words as a human were: “Goodbye.”

Oh, at times in our lives, when we're playing with knives, and a blade seems a bit too hypnotic,

And we can't help but wonder, should things go asunder, who all we are turning neurotic,

Oh, when murder and death fill our every breath, yet we wish for a stronger impression,

I have one simple rule to suggest to the fool quite unable to help his obsession.

What is that in your back? Can a mammal bleed black? Proper answers I'm willing to tell,

But your head's getting light and the room seems too bright and you can't face the fires of hell.

Oh though you beg and plead, are in medical need, and the air enters into your spine,

I'll reveal-so you know- just exactly what blow hath been dealt, for it's suiting you fine.

'Tis a quill, 'tis some ink, and this shows you the brink of the trouble you'll now know you're in,

Not a poison for you, but the public. Adieu! Is the room now beginning to spin?

For the tattoo I gave was a much closer shave than you possibly ever could show,

For you'll pay for your crime. Yes, it's all in good time. I have words. Now the public shall KNOW.
