thor & sif’s children have been protected fiercely by their parents ; as so, these princes & princesses have so very rarely faced hurt of the lasting kind. thor had vowed not to have children until he was certain they would have the freedom to follow whatever dreams they desired, so magni cannot imagine how torvi can justify the lengths she is willing to go for security. she is right ---- he does not understand. how could he? thor & sif have provided a foundation so stable that nothing might crack it.
and then there’s loki. he has idolized him practically since he could walk, has been the first to defend him in every situation. how many pta meetings has thor been dragged to, each time the triplets’ school had done a unit on new york? but torvi is one of his dearest friends, and he can no longer ignore the fault lines that run through this family. more than anything, he wishes he could run to his father, cry in his mother’s arms until he feels better again ---- but that won’t help torvi.
so he seeks out sigyn, hurt, confused, angry. a little bit desperate, too. as he stands in front of her, he looks every bit the child he is, clad not in loki’s signature green, but in the blue his own father has taken to wearing. “ how? how could you let this happen? ” // @sigvinr
