sihaofskyhold replied to your post “percy jackson/camp halfblood crossover with dragon age where kallian...”
hello i'm ready to talk about camp halfblood/DA crossover
i actually haven’t read all the books (always intended to, never got around to it amidst the series i did read) so what i know of percy jackson’s universe is what my brother has told me about the book series, and the films - which, apparently, aren’t that faithful to the books, nor as good.
but, i do know dragon age pretty well, and the tabris family has an implied link to fen’harel. they have a family blade called the “fang of fen’harel” which has been around since the battle for the dales, and they are known to be troublemakers with a unique fighting style. they could have been agents of fen’harel, or descendants of ancient elves, ultimately we don’t know for definite. obviously, whatever historical connection tabris’ ancestors had with solas has been lost to time. i suspect that they don’t even know of fen’harel - at least as anything more than a fancy elven name for some big important person who mattered long ago. at the very least, the current tabris’ are tricksters - not in the same way as solas/the legend of fen’harel, but they’ve got contraband weapons in the alienage! regardless of how a city elf hof is played, their origin story is always about sticking it to the shems who would persecute and subjugate them. that’s the kind of story i feel matches either solas as we know him by trespasser, or even simply the fen’harel of dalish legend.
personally my tabris loves old stories and mythology, and i can see her searching for scraps of the stories of fen’harel, at home and on her travels - particularly at the dalish camp, because it’s what she loves.
and we know solas has witnessed the events of origins through the fade etc. and he has actually watched the hero of ferelden on their (in my case, her) travels.
so, in a universe where there are demigods in dragon age, there’s the potential for a story to be told about kallian tabris as the unknowing daughter of fen’harel, and solas himself, finding each other, over and over again.
which.... works very well when you consider the canonical mythal/flemeth/morrigan storyline. even the old god baby/kieran arc.
