Could you do a post explaining a bit about these two arachnid gods?
Ah! Alright! So, basically in my Spiderverse oc's story, there are these two arachnid deities. Araven (the Spider) and Silbara (the Scorpion). They're brothers.
They live in the jewels on a pair of magic necklaces that grant the person wearing them special powers. These people become their champions, and basically do things on their behalf/alongside them.
Now, Araven really loves humans. Absolutely adores humanity and how creative and sweet they can be. He has seen their capacity for courage, and knows they can be amazing.
Silbara, however... eh, he's seen some of the worst of humanity, so he thinks there is not a lot worth saving. He goes through champions like tissues, basically.
In the present day, their wielders are the Tulper twins.
However, before them, it was their mother - Connie (otherwise known as Arachnida) - who gave them up shortly before she found out she was pregnant. This happened during the naughties, so... it was a lil bit ago.
Now, the arachnid brothers don't really get along. They had a falling out a few centuries beforehand over something, and haven't really looked at each other the same since.
Araven has cared for all of his champions - even those who died tragically young - and grieves every last one.
Silbara... he moves on quickly.
The amulets kind of adapt with their champions deaths. Basically, adding powers when the wielder dies. So, like... the strength and speed increases; the webs and venom; it adapts to survive.
They've kinda been there through a lot of American history, and it's just so normal in this universe that people don't really think about it - like, yeah. These exist.
