starter for @silencedrage {laure} when/where: london, the third time
What was it they said? Once was an accident, twice was a coincidence, three times was a habit? Morgan remembered a saying somewhat like that, although it hardly accounted for the third time involving knowingly walking into the den of a vampire, and bringing your children along. At least it was all gratis.
Of course, Morgan would be paying in blood later -- better her own than Kevin and Charlie's, though.
The bartending classes were genuine and integral to her continued footing at Rosie's. She'd begun experimenting with new original drinks, adding things to the menu that involved high-class concepts like absinthe washes, pouring two drinks at once, and something called "throwing," which sounded terrifying and she hadn't mastered yet. But there was something sinister, yet thrilling, to the realization that Morgan herself was someone else's drink of choice.
"They'll be okay, right?" Morgan asked the vampire, more for Charlie and Kevin's sake than George's. It was a question that, if she had to ask, probably meant she shouldn't be here. And yet something like obligation, curiosity, or something more powerful compelled her to return. "Obviously I haven't said anything." She couldn't, even if she wanted to.
