Distractions
It's been a good few days to be honest.
Last Wednesday the covers band supported US rock legends Molly Hatchet at the Robin II in Bilston. What a night, we played a blinding, in your face and rocking half hour set and Molly Hatchet were AWESOME. The coked up lead singer wouldn't stop mentioning us during their set - he loved us!
Friday a few friends and I went to see Charlie Chuck (the mad man who shouted 'DONKEY!' a lot on 'The Smell Of Reeves & Mortimer'). He was awesome - as mad as ever. We then proceeded to the Giffard Arms (the best classic rock/metal pub in the land) to get fucked up. I was a mess...
Saturday & Sunday were spent in a state of recovery and nothingness.
Last night I went to see Paul McCartney in Manchester. He's one of my heroes and he put on a fucking EPIC show. All the best of his solo material and all his classic Beatles songs. I saw him back in 2004 and that was life changing - but last night was even better. The John Lennon tribute of 'Here Today' and 'The Long & Winding Road' literally brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely amazing.
Today I'm on a serious come down. Back to boring bull shit.
Plus I have Christmas to contend with. Kill me now.

Getting my head kicked in watching the Slipknot Live DVD 'Disasterpieces' - it's amazing! Haven't watched it for ages and it gets me fucking pumped every time. So gonna kick some ass at our gig tomorrow. It's our first time playing this pub in Bromsgrove and if we kill it we'll get more work out of it. No fear, we'll tear the fucking place apart. Might do a Vinnie Paul from Pantera and play with the fat end of my sticks and set the drum kit on fire X

Wedfest!
Had an awesome time at Russ and Amy's wedding yesterday! It was a beautiful ceremony, and the after party was just epic. My band played on the night, and we fucking killed it! Everyone was just going mental and that made us play harder than ever before. My back and shoulders are killing me today, but it was totally worth it! Best gig we've played so far me thinks! Spent the day dodging the ex and her moronic boyfriend but on the whole it was an awesome day with great friends and good times!
So yeah, congrats Amy and Russ, and thanks for having us! :) x
My bands 'music video' - it's basically an old recording we did for my music tech course of the Arctic Monkeys and I put various clips of us playing live, practicing, getting drunk and generally arsing around. Love it. x
