What is it like? (Closed)
The technician waited a tad anxiously for the nun’s response. After all, requiring an action of affection out of the blue was really disconcerting. Alas, she managed to keep her gaze upon Baddeleyite, lips tightly shut in a thin line.
As soon as her thoughts began to maker consider apologizing for her sudden behavior, she was lifted off the ground, being directed to the taller of them. Peridot couldn’t contain the hesitant noise that insisted to escape her lips. But at last, she was hugged. The chartreuse operator gulped and shyly retrieved the gesture “Yes… like this, I presume.” It was… nice, comforting… strange.
“Thank you.” The chrysolite gem withdrew from the other’s arms slightly, still bothered for being lifted up by the prismatic nun “I felt the need to know how it would be if I hugged someone else back… I just didn’t want it to be with… them.”, she explained.
“Them?” She asked quizzically for a moment before realizing just who the technician had meant. Baddel carefully helped Peridot back down to the ground, kneeling down to her eye level for a few moments. “If you want, I won’t tell ‘them’ about this.” She assured her as she placed a gentle hand on the former Homeworld gem’s shoulder. “Though I must say, I admire your willingness to learn of late. If you require more lessons, I’ll gladly help.”
The nun knew exactly what it felt like to suddenly be removed from all she knew and understood and thrust into a strange new world. Though she had had the advantage of being surrounded by her beloved Sisterhood. While this small green gremlin was still trying to gain some sort of even ground with gems she once considered enemies. Hardly a fair comparison, really.
