lmao i honestly think ppl are just mad @ u because ur making them feel guilty. you're 100% correct. birds would be much better off in the wild but that isn't gonna stop pet trade and cruel breeders. and once an animal is born and raised in captivity we can't exactly throw it into the wild when it possesses no survival skills. the best option is to stop buying birds and adopting from shelters instead. that way the business could decline + birds already in this mess have a home.
