A silk knot in a lapel buttonhole?

This is something that has some people up in arms, arguing that you might as well put shoelaces through your cuffs.

I don't know though, I like it. It feels like the men's style equivalent of Marilyn Monroe's beauty spot - good looking without it, but stop-you-in-your-tracks-worthy with it!

Give it a shot! Don't wear one when you're wearing a particularly colourful pocket square or tie; you don't want to look over-accessorised.

Match the silk knot colours to either your shirt or a minor colour in your tie.
