29. Gay rights?

I hope you know you've earned yourself over a paragraph of me on gay rights.

I think that every single person on this god forsaken planet should have the right to marry who they want. Why isn't a gay couple or a same-sex couple considered a real couple? They're both real people, with real thoughts, feelings, opinions, just like you and I, except they have a different sexual preference. Why does it matter who someone falls in love with? It has nothing to do with how they are as a person and how they treat others, just because you're straight doesn't make you any better than me. I mean people who aren't straight face so much fucking prejudice and judgement throughout their lives, they face the discrimination of people telling them their sexuality or sexual preference isn't real, and I find that ridiculous. Why does your sexuality affect whether or not you are eligible to compete in political debates or opportunities? Why does it also affect what church you're allowed to go to or what job you can have? Why is it that I can't get a job at certain places simply because I've dated someone or I have fallen for someone of the same gender? It's ridiculous and completely wrong for that to happen. I think everyone should be equal, regardless of sexuality, gender, race, religion. All of these things make us who we are, why do we only need to conform to one solid picture-perfect life that society has forced upon us?
