Ok so part of what I love so much about Cats is that it can change so much depending on the actors/directors interpretations... anyways was just listening to an interview with Jacob Brent (who also directed cats) and he said that Demeter gets to run into the headlights and hiss in the beginning of the show because that's her actively running from Macavity and towards the junkyard, because she knows everyone will be there that night and it's her chance to escape safely which means she only has a few hours of peace before he comes back for her And I'm kind of obsessed with that right now. Demeter and Grizabella and Victoria and Sillabub's stories are just so... women. A woman fleeing an abuser, a woman outcasted then accepted, a girl stepping into womanhood for the first time, and a girl using her innocence and light to accept and bring joy to everyone else just. ugh. I love them. also bomb is there. can't forget about her.

the designs are all mostly based on the '98 film but influenced by other productions as well as my own personal preferences and headcanons

and if you're wondering what these are for, the answer is i'm slowly but surely working on making CHARMS ! :D i have an ambitious vision i'm trying to see to fruition, but i will post more information about this once i get my first samples made. until then, i just wanted to share all these cute teeny tiny cats !

this is 100% a labor of love for me - i put a lot of effort into getting everyones patterns right despite being super simplified... and i had a lot of fun with it !

CATS THE MUSICAL || JELLICLES AT THE JELLICLE BALL

This is EVERY JELLICLE (minus some) and I had so much fun drawing them all!!! I didn’t include some of the super minor characters or duplicates or like. Growltiger and Rumpus Cat. BUT WHATEVER they’re all here they’re DONE and anyways I was thinking of maybe turning these guys into stickers or maybe keychains!! If enough people show interest I will definitely do it, and if someone wants to use these designs for anything I have the non-shaded files (I will require credit though!!!) Anyways I’ll go back to train posting after this I promise
