anyone else find it kinda funny that so many conspiracy theories say that aliens must be real because there are like ancient drawings or carvings of things that look like UFOs or aliens or time machines. as if people back then didn't have any sort of imagination. imagine if thousands of years from now somebody dug up my art and was like "aliens have to be real because this person drew people that looked like cats"

#this can be applied to a lot of things but the one i'm thinking about is lord pakal's time machine #because idk you see what you want to see but to me it kind of just looks like he's sitting on a throne. not a time machine

also watching cats 2019 has made me realise that if i was exposed to it when it came out i deadass would have been obsessed with it. i just know it

i know we've probably all dealt with our parents/grandparents believing things that are obviously AI but have any of you guys ever had to deal with your dad tell you the story of the russian sleep experiment completely seriously. and then when hes done you're like "dad where did you hear that from. that's not real" and hes completely adamant that it is real and that there were studies on it. and there's nothing you can say to change his mind. it's a weird experience
