‘Do You See?’ (2020)

You may look at the sky today and think that it is beautiful, that the colors are pretty and there is a beautiful gradient pinks and oranges.

But the truth is that beauty is nothing more than ash, smoke, and fire.

It is destruction and chaos.

Do you hear the voices calling out?

A million of them in agony, unable to do anything but die.

Do you see the sky, and it's beautiful reds?

Blood has been spilt.

(Today in Washington the morning skies are red due to the fires that have been going on. At first glance it seemed beautiful to me, just like the sunrises I would see in Florida back when I lived there. But the realization kind of sunk in, and this art is the result of that.)

As much as I love how I drew the head, I still need to improve on everything else. I'm still finding my style and even then I need to practice more on my drawings.
