Big fan of when characters say "I'm going home" but the home in question is not exactly a place of comfort or peace, just somehwere they grew up and returning there is nothing deeper than pure muscle memory

I cant recall where Ive heard this for the life of me, but theres something about if religion and science suddenly disappeared we'd inevitably get them back, but religion would always end up different, with different deities rituals rules and morals each time, always informed by the civilisation and the environment around it. But that environment would always be set by the unchanging rules of physics chemistry and biology (which is just physics and chemistry given form)
What this means is that there could be unlimited amount of gods and symbols for every minute thing in the universe, but the number of atoms in an oxygen particle would always remain the same, because otherwise it would no longer be oxygen. It wouldn't matter if anyone knows it exists or what they call it in their language because it'll always exist in the same way.
It also wouldn't matter how or when you discover that fact, because science is a universal language. And with our mutual understanding of it, you're able to tell me you know Oxygen its a large part of my breathable atmosphere, while yours is mainly comprised of Ammonia.
Anyway I really love the fact Rocky is an actual real puppet, like Obviously hes not real-real but due to the fact he's an actual physical object that can interact with the environment hes in and throw himself into and out of the xenonite barrier when needed I am fully convinced Grace really is talking to a sentient spider boulder thats also a super genius mechanic married to a partner thats been waiting for him back home for over half a century.
If he was cgi I know wouldn't be able to scrape off this feeling that Oh, im watching a movie, that's a movie that has an alien in it, he's a guy they put on the screen for me to look at thats shaped like an alien rock and all his movements were painstakingly digitally animated by a group of severely underpaid and exhausted people
so we all know predator animal rage where you can go all in for a kill with brutal weapons and technique always at hand and prey animal rage where you bite and maul everything and everyone indiscriminately through power of sheer terror and refusal to get killed first, but what about a predator animal with prey rage software where you have the fear and trauma with all the tools to follow through on the damage
That institute escape scene is in my head and I think that Nim also maybe kinda forgers that human people aren't as durable as her yk, "most people scream at that part" but she's not a people, so she also kinda just lets Bal fall like 60 meters down from an imploding castle into the woods where he very well could've been crushed to death by a giant piece of debrie (he didn't and the rule of comedy says he must be sniped by a tiny rock but let me yap!!)
Not that she doesn't care just that it's possible she genuinely forgot due to her general lack of interaction with a people. Also cuz at that moment she was utterly transfixed by finally getting to do some visible permanent substancial damage to the institute but that's a different thought
My silly, so rejected and defeated and her attempt at undercutting it with a joke is making it come off as a person realizing they overshared and is trying to act like Whops Haha Ignore that here is an Arm Pun get it cuz you're missing an arm haha, instead of the empty marvel "comedic" He's Right Behind Me Isn't He shit. Like the general delivery has this somber undertone and sounds so genuine, the voice actor did this so well I am going to combust
This single monolog is somehow both Nimona's backstory coated in detached irony
AND then foreshadowing to the end of the movie
I am unwell
Also love Rusty's fighstyle, like the basis of it is so simple – she's a fully atriculated robot with stretchy limbs and she likes feeling tall and I do like the show gets creative with it and doesn't forget about it after s1
