So I saw this post and thought I would comment. "someone stop the world cup. Soccer as we know today was invented in England and anyone else but them playing it is cultural appropriation" ... Basically, cultural appropriation is the adoption of certain aspects of a culture into another culture and has a very negative connotation to it. But the way I see it, the World Cup isn't hurting anyone and definitely isn't negative; in any case it brings people from all over the world together to celebrate a sport and the sport's athletes. And although this aspect of the English culture has been adopted by other cultures it's not cultural appropriation; it is simply an effect of globalisation.
One of the things that bugs me the most...
Is that somewhere in the world, there must be somebody who might be an alike mind (well, it might not, but given the fact that there's so much people in this world, there's always a lot of chances) wanting to talk and share thoughts and moments with someone, and instead this person is trying to talk and share with people that does not care much or with people that already have "their people" (the same I'm doing here myself), and it is my frustration that I don't know this person phone's number, email or adress.
