This little interaction is kinda cute and fun to read. Like, he's like "Oh, I can't eat with my left hand" and they all offer to help him. Naruto would have preferred if Sakura was the one giving him food. Sai wants to bond with Naruto, but is still socially awkward and doesn't understand what's really happening. Then, Kakashi comes into the picture and he's finally the one helping Naruto.
The manga is filled with little and underrated interactions like that, especially between Kakashi and Naruto. I like the moment where Kakashi shows Naruto how he manipulates Yamato into paying for the food. I have no idea why, but anyway, I think those interactions are important and show a familiarity between the different characters involved. And that's why I do think Kakashi and Naruto share a strong bond. They're not just standing side by side; they work together quite well, and they have their "goofy moments." There's trust and care.
The time Naruto jumped between Kakashi and Chiyo is funny to me as well. Because why would Naruto think Kakashi needs to be defended in that specific case?
Sorry, I'm still not done with the Kakashi post. I wanted to share these moments because I can't add them to the main post. I already reached the 30-picture limit. It's not fair...
Also, Iruka has a lot of panels with Naruto, with little interactions. It's proof that a minor character can have a believable bond with the main character if Kishimoto wants them to.
