There was once a strange phenomenon that swept the Zones where one in every twenty or so people went into a comatose state. They could’ve been mid-conversation when they just stopped talking and stared blankly at the person in front of them. For some people, it only lasted a couple minutes. For others, it could’ve lasted anywhere from 1-3 days. When they woke up, some couldn’t remember what happened. Others said they saw God or the Phoenix Witch or said they heard the voices of angels or any other deity. While it could have been a strange radiation related phenomenon, many (including Zone-famous conspiracy theorist Fun Ghoul) believe it was aliens or supernatural god-like beings trying to establish contact Zoners. Another popular theory was that it was a BLI test-run on new surveillance equipment that took memories from the comatose subjects. Perhaps the true answer will never be known...
