Shance 21!! It's perfect for them! Please, thank you!!
21.“We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?”
It is perfect for them oh my goodness!! Aaaaah!
“We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?” Shiro questions. His tone carries a note of disbelief with a smudge of amusement as he watches Lance stands there with his arms spread wide.
Lance doesn’t answer him.
His eyes are closed with his head tilted towards the sky as the rain gets heavier and heavier. But it doesn’t deter Lance and he looks so relaxed as the light smile he has turns into a wide grin the moment he moves to look at Shiro.
Shiro who still has cover underneath the umbrella that is sure to break if they don’t hurry home. He wants them to get home so they can warm themselves up with dry clothes and hot chocolate. With snuggles on the couch as they watch old episodes of Judge Judy.
But there’s something about Lance being in the rain and embracing it like it’s his long lost friend. The way the stress and tension just seeps out of his system and falls onto the ground with the rain drops that course down his skin. He looks like he’s in his element and so completely at home that it’s hard for Shiro to not want to stand there and watch him until the rain ceases its pouring.
It only gets louder and thunder rumbles through the grey clouds with the promise of lightning. Shiro wants to get them home but he can’t bring himself to drag Lance away from something he loves so dearly.
He doesn’t realise that Lance is still looking at him with that wide grin and blue eyes alight with mischief. Shiro quirks an eyebrow before blinking as Lance gestures him forward with the beckoning of his hands.
“Come and dance with me.” Lance says and with anyone else, Shiro would have laughed before going on his way. But with Lance, it’s incredibly different and wonderfully so and there’s no way of resisting the pull that he has.
So Shiro drops the umbrella and allows himself to be drenched as he wanders into Lance’s hands. They hold each other and dance through the rain and storm until they could no more.
