realizing today that maybe partially the reason HJYJ grips me is the same reason Mikiya/Shiki grips me
the "guy who's so so normal" vs. "superpowered inhuman guy" pairing
except so so normal isn't always normal either and shdfhsdfh
anyways i like it, when there's an obvious power dynamic that looks imbalanced at first but actually ends up being equal because *handwaves* reasons not related to how well you can kill or destroy or maim it's complicated ok
