So I blame being a Virgo perfectionist, but something about the artwork i did for Zach Mendez for his birthday didn't feel right and i realised Zach's portrait wasn't to my usual standard. So i redid it! Consider this version 2 - the redo🤣

It's only little things I changed, but i feel so much happier with this version now.

And hey if the masters like Da Vinci and Rembrandt can go back and redo a portrait, I can do it too 🤣

Art that I did this year ( my health issues this year meant I didn't draw much, but I'm proud of what I did do) -

First up is 'Zachanis' - ie what would Zach Mendez, the actor who played Lucanis, look like as him. I used one of Zach's publicity photos as the reference and I think he looks rather good, don't you :D Honestly his bone structure is pretty much the same as Lucanis, the only real difference is his eye shape is more hooded and he has a softer hairline. (and the fact he's around 6 foot tall 😂)

A painting I did of my darling Teleri De Riva, using a photo of Florence Pugh in that dress as reference. Soon as I saw the photo I knew Teleri would be perfect for it.

this portrait of Teleri was gifted to me for my birthday from @vorchagirl . She commissioned the amazing @beemot to draw my girl, and I love it!! Those feathers match her eyes!!!!!!

WIP Whenever Wednesday (art edition)

I got tagged by @andromeda-xyz to show anything i'm working on and for once i actually have a little art sneak peak of something i'm at the moment sketching out. I got inspired by the light in Rook's room to do a 'almost kiss' to add to my collection. as you can see my initial sketches are rough as a hewn rock diamond...but i do try to give them a nice faceted polish by the end 🤣

Rookfest day 7 - Masquerade

I decided to make a very quick fashion sketch of Teleri in a historically inspired gown with a Crow twist for todays prompt. @rookfest The shape is based on 15th century Venetian courtesan mixed with Spanish renaissance gowns. I was also inspired by some lines from a future chapter of my fic Crows Bond-

A long feathered and flowing midnight blue silk gown draped over her elven curves and her hair was elaborately braided up to show off an exquisite cascading necklace of finely cut amethysts clasped in gold, that wrapped around her neck.

Variants show Teleri without a mask and what's under that underskirt which can be whipped off if needed.

Fabric : All silk - Damask brocade, dupion, charmeuse and chiffon, with large feather and collar and gold work trim. Under garments are leather and twill. Necklace is gold and amethyst and mask is gold. I made her hairstyle to emulate the horned hairstyle popular with Venetian Courtesans.

Lover's Embrace.

In Vampyr, 'embracing' someone is when Jonathan kills an unwilling victim, draining them of their blood. But embracing has different very connotations when the one being bitten is willing.

Finally finished this McReid piece after I started it last year!
