I’m very tempted to add minor animal transformation to Silver’s abilities just so she can turn into a song bird. Becoming an angry, fluffy round orb that chirps and peeps at people.

Bet you can't
i saw an ask about silvers with no abilities and maybe they were taken away as a punishment, or they’re encased in silent stone or and arden guard is always with them. kinda like how some shadow hunters could get stripped of their runes. (idk if you’re in the mortal instruments fandom)
I think silent stone would offer great opportunites to get creative, eg. used as poison, and I can imagine such a punishment strategy. Would be interesting. However the way Mare was treated seems like they still needed to experiment with taking abilities away. As if criminal Silvers were put in silent stone cells and that was it.
(Mare wasn’t supposed to stay in her cell so Silvers without abilities but still having a life thus seems unusual. The Arvens were with her even in her cell, so they weren’t only there to keep her from running off when she’s out but because they didn’t trust the manacles were enough.)
But I really like the idea. Maybe something for a future democracy?
Do there slivers without abilities
Silvers completely without abilites would be an interesting concept. Imagine them hiding that fact with great subterfuge and feeling extremely insecure while still being ambitious af.
I think it’s not impossible, such things happen. And commoners are weaker to begin with which might be close to having no ability.
Evangeline can do some kind of bastard version of Allomantic Jumping and no one can convince otherwise.
If she can make metal things fly, she can use metal things to “fly” herself. I’m pretty sure Magneto does it too^^
How do you think reds and sliver would react if a sliver without abilities was born
That is an interesting question, thank you!
AFAIK, the abilities show later on, so no one would know from birth. I guess the parents would start to panic with time and become really disappointed in the child, but they would never tell anyone (especially not Reds).
I can actually imagine this kind of happens among the common Silvers. Their abilities aren’t as great and some are certainly rather weak, to the extent that a lack of ability wouldn’t become public necessarily. The Silver without an ability would have to deal with a lot of pressure though, with the need to hide, the self-doubt and the wish to be honest. However, if this would be very common, there might be some acceptance in the middle class, but still tinged with disdain. I’d compare this to the guards in The Lunar Chronicles whose super-powers are rather small but they are forced into their specific profession for this reason.
You be really cool if Victoria made a sliver without abilities
Yepp, I agree! It would b nice to see some common Silvers at all.
Friendly Reminder
I tense, expecting an explosion. Instead, the blue-tinged lightning hits a sudden arc of shimmering water, running across the liquid but not through. It veins and flashes, almost blinding, but disappears in an instant, leaving only the watery shield. Benaeath it, Maven, Evangeline, and even the sentinels crouch, hands over their heads. Only Iris is left standing. The water pools around her, curling and twisting like one of Larentia's snakes. It grows with every second, leaching so quickly I taste the air drying on my tongue. Iris wastes no time, tearing off her veil. Dimly, I hope it doesn’t rain. I don't want to know what Iris can do with rain.

Iris Cygnet, Queen of Norta, Badass Bride and allowed to drown me in my own tears, uses water against lightning and saves their Silver asses even without a pool at hand while her groom and his bodyguards grovel in fear. Iris has to be featured large in RQ 4 or I will riot.
Hmm, I could do this endlessly, of course. I love Avatar and I’m still not over the fact that Iris actually is part First Nations, thus looking like the Avatar waterbenders.
