hoping and praying that the reversal of the update will actually encourage people to fucking reblog posts. i am so sick of ridiculous like-to-reblog ratios!! reblogging is the heart of this goddamn website!!! artists & creators want you to meaningfully engage with their work! people want your commentary and your obsessive tag sorting!! PLEASE!!!
Some pics of my version of @aftgbinderzine! This was really fun to get crafty with. Pulled out my gluestick and two kinds of tape (did it take me three weeks to go out and get the roll of tape I needed? Shush!) And yes I did pull out my exacto knife to really tatter up that taped together magazine poster. Check out the zine if you haven't yet because everyone had a lot of fun putting this experience together for the fandom!
I’m new to The Amazing Digital Circus fan base, and I’m looking for recommendations!
If anyone has any artists, writers, or general blogs they think I should check out please let me know who!
I’m open and looking for anything and everything! Comics! Fanfics! Doodles! Full art! Discussions! Episode analysis! Cosplay!
I also think my favorite character is turning out to be Caine, and I’m finding myself drawn to the Showtime ship, so if anyone has recommendations more specific to those that would also be awesome.
I’ve been navigating blind through the fan content but am finding myself a little out of my depth, so any suggestions are appreciated!
The prompts are amazing and offering to take requests is so awesome of you!!!
If you're feeling inspired, I'd love to see the fluff prompt #10 with Sylus or Zayne, your choice. 🖤💙
Listen, I know you gave Sylus as an option to let me, number 1 Zayne opp, back out. But This is a very Zayne coded prompt and Im not scared of a challenge (I am) ILY JESS<3333
Fluff prompt 10. Your 30th birthday approaches, and your childhood friend reminds you of your marriage pact made made a two decades ago
Zayne x GN!Reader
Words: 987
“I’ll always be here to take care of you! And if a boy won't step up and marry you when we’re older, then I will!”
“What's older? You inquired while mindlessly picking daisies to tie into a flower crown.
“I… don’t know. Thirty?”
Soft giggles were carried away by the breeze as you set the flower crown on his head before reaching your pinky out with a bright smile. Zayne was a deep shade of red, grimacing at the dainty little flowers that adorned his head as he met your pinky promise.
Your eyes snap awake, rubbing the sleep from your eyes as the room comes into focus. The closer your birthday approached, the more often you found your childhood memory replayed in your dreams. Whether it was a sign or an omen, you weren't sure. But you have noticed that Zayne has been more active than usual over the course of the month. You had heard from him more often in between his busy schedule as a doctor, him texting you little reminders daily to eat and drink water, get plenty of rest and the like. And he made semi-frequent visits to drop you home cooked meals and supplements that every hunter should have, considering the strenuous needs of the job.
It warmed you, truly, that he never stopped being Zayne. Over the past twenty years he stayed true to being your rock, your caretaker. Even when life became hectic and overwhelming and you lost contact, he was simply a phone call away and he picked up the conversation like you two never strayed from one another. And now, with the dreams that have been chasing you as of late, you can't help but to think about him throughout the day, playing your past memories like old sepia laced film flickering over a silver screen. It was embarrassing how often he plagued your thoughts, it felt stupid and adolescent to let childhood feelings simmer up to the surface after being tampered down for years.
A walk through the wooded area outside of town would clear your mind, feeling the fresh air hit your lungs and fertile soil beneath your feet. The greenery of the landscape was a pleasant change of pace from the bustling structure of Linkon city. You could breathe for once, appreciating the flora and fauna that decorated the ground, when all of a sudden your phone vibrates.

I have the next few days off. Meet me at your place at 5

That’s a tall order, doc. What if I encounter a wanderer?
Doc Mcstuffins12:15pm
You’ll make it work, you always do. I’ll be on standby to tend to any wounds. See you at 5.”
You pocket your phone with a smile, enjoying the way he’s been taking charge lately, it was cute and you wonder what’s gotten into him lately, and how he’s managed to score several days off in a row, you don’t even remember the last time Dr. Zayne had a day off. There’s a pang of anxiety that lingers, selfishly hoping that some medical or surgical emergency wouldn't happen and cut off your time spent with him, your birthday was tomorrow after all. You allow yourself to be a little selfish.
As you walk home, a familiar head of dark hair stands at your apartment. He’s dressed well for the weather and holds a large shopping bag, and there’s a fondness in his eyes when he sees you.
“You’re 10 minutes early, eager to see me?” You tease as you reach for your keys.
“15, actually.” He corrects. “I just wanted to make sure I was present just in case you ran into a wanderer.”
You snort at his jab recalling your own earlier in the day, swiftly unlocking the door and pushing it open. You watch Zayne set the bags down on the kitchen table and begin putting its contents away with ease. It reminds you of how familiar you two are, how easy he fits into your life, and how right it feels. Zayne may or may not have felt your eyes burn holes into his back, but he didn’t seem to mind in the slightest, continuing his task while he speaks again.
“I made us a dinner reservation for your big day tomorrow evening, since it’s a special one.” He turns to look at you, smiling as if he’s recalling something.
“Special, huh? Because I’m turning the big three-o? Just sounds like the landmark of being old” You have to turn around to hide the way you’re biting back a smile, and maybe perhaps because you don’t have the heart to see him look like a kicked puppy.
“I recall certain promises made in adolescence.” His tone is even, cool, as it always was, but there was a minute fidget as he shifted his weight between his heels.
“Oh!” You snap, recalling the memory. “I remember. We were supposed to build a treehouse together and live in it when we started making adult money.”
Zayne deadpans for a moment before finishing up and tossing the bags away, turning on heel when you begin to laugh out loud, unable to keep the charade up any longer. You reach into your jacket pocket to fish something out, something you made while on your walk through the woods earlier.
Mild surprise flashes across Zayne’s face when you stand on your tiptoes to adorn his head with a daisy chain flower crown, his face warming into a deep shade of blush that compliments his cool skin when you extend your pinky outwards towards his, mimicking the memory all the years ago. A squeal escapes your lips when you feel his hand slide around your waist to pull you close and kiss you.
