An unexpected surprise at Oceanside Transit Center while waiting for my Sprinter train! The ‘Silver Splendor’ ex-Burlington Route Budd vista-dome, sandwiched with a second blue, unlettered, open-platform observation car between a P42DC and an F59PHI on a NB Pacific Surfliner. Was stopped at the closed platform 1 after having departed the newly-opened platform 3. June 3, 2017 @ 3:58pm.

Couldn’t get both, as my train was about to leave.

Last night, August 8, 2019, I traveled on Conway Scenic’s Dinner Train for the second evening in a row.

The purpose of my trip was in preparation for some more involved filming in the coming days.

I’ve just scratched the surface reviewing the many photos I made yesterday (June 29, 2019) of Conway Scenic’s Trains, Planes and Automobiles steam excursion over New Hampshire’s Crawford Notch.

The Zephyr Returns by Jake Miille Via Flickr: On Father's Day of 2015, a recreation of the famous California Zephyr traveled roundtrip from Oakland to Portola. The train consisted of four stainless steal rail cars, three of which were domes (Silver Solarium, Silver Smith, Silver Lariat, and Silver Splendor). Above, you see this special train crossing one of the classic views of the Feather River Canyon, the trestle at Rock Creek.
