Let’s take a peak behind the scenes at Hillwood the former home of Marjorie Merriweather Post. This is the kitchen pantry at Hillwood. I love that the glass front cabinets go all the way up to the ceiling making maximum use of space. Please take note of the built in safe for housing silver hollowware and flatware. The pantry safe is actually a common feature in important older homes. Mrs Post also had a smaller safe ,upstairs near her dressing room , for housing her impressive collection of fine jewelry.
