Some photos I've taken over the years of some of the fauna species which have had the biggest impact on me (species indicated below in the order that the photos of them appear in this photoset).
Guillemot, Razorbill and Puffin: As a penguin fanatic as a kid just getting into birdwatching I was naturally drawn to our auks and quickly became obsessed with them, laying the foundations of my interest.
Osprey: A raptor that fascinated me in my early birdwatching days and never fails to captivate me, I am inspired by their comeback across the UK.
Brent Geese: Seeing hundreds noisily fly over our heads at Farlington Marshes as a kid was one of the first moments I felt truly moved by nature and they're a key local winter species for me.
Silver-washed Fritillary: When seeing one as a kid not knowing butterflies at the time I said I'd like to know what that is which paved the way for me learning and loving butterflies.
Small Tortoiseshell: My first favourite butterfly when getting into them and a species I’ve noticed are a scarcer sight these days at times.
Red Squirrel: I adore seeing them and they're always a sharp reminder of how much nature has been lost due to our actions and the severe threats our nature is facing.
Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing: A perfect emblem of my recent and ongoing deeper delve into moths as a species I find attractive and have come to recognise nicely.
Golden-ringed Dragonfly: The species that first made me notice beautiful dragonflies.
