Feeding Brimstone
A brimstone butterfly feeding on a thistle flower, in the meadow between Short Wood and Southwick Wood.
Nene Wetlands. A lovely walk around Skew Bridge Lake today, for work! Sometimes I am very lucky to be looking at these things in an official capacity. There were shovelers, wigeon, tufted ducks and much more. And plans to make all the spaces even more friendly for its local feathered residents.

Sawfly Larva
A sawfly larva climbing down a dead grass stem, in Southwick Wood. Seems likely to be one of the dolerus species, but not sure which one.
