2004 Heitz Cellar Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and a 14.5% ABV. The wines from Rutherford's Trailside Vineyard have been part of the Heitz range since 1989. The vineyard is flanked by the Silverado Trail on one side and Conn Creek on the other and is certified organic. This wine is a Rutherford classic, deeply-hued and powerful, with a lush bouquet of dark fruits and eucalyptus and menthol. Its an intense Cabernet aged in French oak with a slight hint of vanilla, well balanced with firm tannins and lively acidity. For more than 50 years, as Napa Valley changed from farm country to a rich man's paradise, Heitz Wine Cellars has stayed true to founder Joe Heitz's vision.Heitz Wine Cellars has earned countless accolades for its dazzling wines every year since 1961. Lots of things have changed since Joe and Alice shared the first bottle of Heitz wine in 1961, but their core values --- quality, integrity and innovation --- have stood the test of time.
