Okay but hear me out: SilverAngels where before Angelo revealed himself as the Seraph, he served as a sort of acting priest/pastor (whichever one can marry) and that's how Maikel kind of knows him. Like, Felicia attends church every Sunday and she's very surprised when she finds out the new pastor is so..young. Meanwhile, Angelo was keeping tabs on her for HALT and at the end of his first service, he's waving and blessing everyone as they leave but he stops her to talk to her and thank her about her donations and she's all: "Please, you don't need to thank me! It is God's will that I be so generous." and Angelo absolutely hated her because he thought she was pretending to go to church to keep up appearances for her family but I need to talk about her getting active in the community more.
Maikel comes a few times with her, mostly when Gabriel or other cases haunt his sleep and it's not really the church itself that makes him feel better. It's the fact that Felicia brings him because she thinks it'll protect him and that her prayers might be stronger so he just smiles as she bows her head and he can hear his name from her lips. However, ANGELO SEEING MAIKEL AND MAIKEL SEEING ANGELO and Maikel excuses himself while Angelo has someone else lead the rosary and they meet each other outside of the corridor.
Angelo: "What on earth are you doing here?"
Maikel: "I'll tell you after you tell me."
Angelo: "I didn't become the Seraph for no reason, Maikel."
Maikel: "Fair point. I'm here with Felicia."
Angelo: "Domenica? Of course...you told her about me, didn't you? That's why she comes to church."
Maikel: "Excuse me? Angelo, I can't tell anyone. Your magic literally prevents that."
Angelo: "Well, you're always full of surprises."
Maikel: "Felicia comes to church because her home is absolute Hell. She's donated and helped sponsor so many programs and she's apart of the choir for Christmas. I don't believe in this stuff but she does. A lot. So I don't appreciate you implying that her faith is fake." and Angelo frowns and glares at him.
And like, Maikel and Angelo have always had sexual tension but Felicia and Angelo get closer when she's imprisoned. Like, Angelo is grumbling because Lisa told him Felicia requested him and Felicia is all: "Ah, Mr. Santos! There you are." and Angelo just deadpanning: "What do you want."
Felicia: "It's a Sunday...Since I can't exactly go to church, I was wondering if you had any hymns I could sing?"
Angelo: "You're in prison."
and Angelo walks off and Warden just chuckles and he's all: "Huh, didn't expect that from you, Mr. Die Hard Christian." and Angelo rolls his eyes. But Felicia still singing some church and soul songs just because she wants to do something and Angelo just listening. And like, he does it every Sunday just to see if her faith is true and at some point, he starts humming the same song she was singing and Lisa just smiling at him.
Lisa: "Oh, nothing~ But, I'm surprised. You take time off from church to do work. I haven't seen Felicia skip a moment to worship yet." and Angelo glares: "Are you implying she's more religious than I?"
Lisa: "I'm just curious about why you never gave her the sheet music she asked you for. After all, it's not like you to gatekeep the word of your God." and Angelo just walks off but he does feel bad.
So the next Sunday, Felicia waking up and she sees some sheet music for various Christian songs, some of them in Latin, and when Angelo walks past her cell (totally not to hear her sing), she makes eye contact with him and she smiles and waves and he blushes and quickens his pace.
