I'm sure Toto will cross more limits over her but who will the person to tell her the truth behind her having attachment issues that indirectly resulted or have n arm in giving Toto pedestal n now this growing attraction is somehow icky
Oh, that's actually a really good question about her family and the people close to her.
She comes from a broken family. Her parents divorced, and not long after that, her mother died of cancer. Her father was never very interested in her, so she ended up spending most of her time at his car repair shop, where his friends looked after her far more than he ever did.
That's also where her knowledge of cars comes from. It's why she was able to quickly figure out what was wrong with Jack's kart, and why she's so convinced the problem now lies with the car rather than herself. She keeps trying to talk to the engineers, even people like Shov or James Allison, but the team has that classic attitude of, "You're the driver, so you focus on driving and let us handle the engineering." And that hurts her too, because she genuinely understands more than people give her credit for.
As for friends... she never really had many. Once she started karting, her whole life revolved around racing. The girls at school made fun of her because they thought motorsport was "for boys," while the boys saw her as competition.
It was actually one of her father's mechanics who first took her karting, and that's where she fell in love with racing. She was spotted by Mercedes fairly quickly and brought into their junior programme. That's when Susie noticed her and took her under her wing, and later Toto did the same.
In many ways, they became the family she never had. She saw Toto as the male role model she had always been missing in that empty house, while Susie's kindness filled the space her mother had left behind. That's why losing that sense of belonging hurts her so deeply. On top of that, there's Toto's possessive side. For years, she was the one who put him on a pedestal because he was the person who believed in her when no one else did and gave her the chance to make it into Formula 1.
But now those feelings on his side are becoming something much darker. And she definitely has daddy issues when it comes to him, which only makes everything even more complicated.
