Krywald & Farrer - Spoon Billed Sandpiper [Top Pocket Persies EP]

First track off Krywald & Farrer's wonderfully titled ‘Top Pocket Persies’ EP coming out on 04/03/2016 on Rob da Bank's dance focussed imprint Silver Bear Recordings.

Spoon Billed Sandpiper’ is testament to the duo’s keen understanding of songwriting. The song begins with a meditative drum pattern, which grows more propulsive as pads begin to swirl around it. An early breakdown is accompanied by a heart torn vocal sample before the beat comes back in, sounding even more frenetic to ensure to send the floor into raptures.

Yila - Overload

“When listening to its bleeping synths, Radiohead-esque analog burps, and skittish industrial beats, it’s hard not to picture the hundreds of data servers and satellites churning out data as we mindlessly post our lives amongst the #nonsense.
