Hey would you ever consider writing something someone else has thought of if they asked you to?

Like, they have a kinda idea and maybe one or two scenes, but can’t seem to write the in between? So they ask you for help and maybe even ask you to just take it and run?

Or would you not be comfortable with something like that?

Totally! I have a whole short list of Cambric Creek characters which have come from asks and prompts, that I fully intend on bringing to life (someday, when my ability to not be falling apart resumes.)

I had planned on reopening my commissions in November, but now things are a bit up in the air with everything I have going on health-wise. If it turns out thigs are fine, I’ll be trowing myself into them. If not...I’ll need a distraction, eventually.

Tuesday Dec. 27-2022

I was asked again by my significant other to not go on “meandering tangents”. They claimed it made them feel less heard when they couldn’t get a word in edgewise.

I know what that is like. What it feels like.

It’s why I always “clam up” whenever someone asks me something like “how is [memory i was in the process of reliving that was similar to given situation] even relevant?”

“Why do you always do that?” They’d ask.

“Do what?” I’d reply confused.

“Why are you always going off on long tangents?” ‘It gets so frustrating annoying tedious hard difficult trying to talk to you’ ‘why can’t you just answer me normally?’ They’d ask, the echoes of previous complaints from others surrounding me.

“I… I guess I just thought… nevermind,” I’d smile, disheartened, “you’re right. It was a silly lil tangent.” They’d chuckle and continue talking, while I died a little more inside, feeling like I can no longer speak freely.

Why cant I just reply normally?

Well, maybe that is my normal.

Maybe…

Maybe I’ve been told so many times to stay on topic and not go on tangents, that

Maybe anytime I think I can finally let my mind flow naturally and simply voice my thoughts as they come to me,

Maybe I get this little spark of hope and excitement inside my heart

And maybe that little spark whispers something so precious to me that I can’t help but hope that this time,

That maybe this time…

‘Maybe this time, I can finally be … Me!’
