like, i’m not denying the fact that whump can absolutely break my heart and tear me to pieces, which is why i can sometimes end up avoiding it...but i’d be lying if i said that it doesn’t give me such a strange and enjoyable buzz and send my heart racing in quite a pleasurable way...although maybe because it hurts and tears me apart is why i like it? makes sense really

like, i can’t stop thinking about that...lengthy scene at the beginning of The Doctor Falls where the Doctor is barely conscious and at the mercy of both Masters and there’s a flashback to how he basically had the shit beaten out of him after already being in a state of emotional and physical shock due to horrible realisations stacking up one after the other with no breather and i...from the beginning of that episode to when he arrives unconscious on the floor with all the children and farmland, i was just like, this is horrific!! oh dear god my heart was breaking but at the same time i was overwhelmed by the level of twelfth doctor whump in that whole segment and some day i hope to either find or make a whole compilation of gifs from that part of the episode because...damn.

even the ending to World Enough and Time was...interesting!! for some reason, i enjoy moments where he’s actually so scared because then shit’s really got real; seeing him in an escalating state of emotional and physical shock is in itself full of great whump and i can’t get enough of that as much as i can’t enough of the hurt that comes to him throughout the beginning of The Doctor Falls

and the fact that the flashback is in black-and-white and running in slow-motion (even without all those distressing sounds we hear him make throughout) hurts me so damn much to watch because it doesn’t feel like the Doctor to be overpowered so easily and when he is, things can go so terribly wrong and yet...it’s also why i felt such a massive buzz watching the whole scene and that flashback definitely did NOT help, besides one of the first few things we see is passing shots of him clearly barely conscious and what those shots all too remind me of is him waking up and slipping between different states of consciousness and i just...this whole scene destroyed me in more ways than one, i can definitely tell you that
