bare feet take careful steps to avoid the carnage her dance of the dead left behind. pools of crimson, soldiers (perhaps commoners?) dismembered sully the human fortress. it was child’s play, really. to slip through the settlement’s defences, masquerading as a band of entertainers — then wait for the bodies to drop... until there were enough for her closing act. once the reanimated corpses started to move according to her wishes, it was over.
this is how you raid one settlement after another triumphantly, with only a handful of people. kagura let her men ravage and loot the remainder of the town; she didn’t care for the petty feud that drove them all to rebel against their lords, but it was certainly convenient.
she doesn’t bother disguising herself under the pale moonlight as she walks towards the shrine, hidden in the human territory; the scent of blood still lingers and it fills her with such brazen pride. nothing can hurt her now. she's found it. this must be the place. heartbeat quickens - and the sound (still alien and vexing) muffles that nagging feeling, that this ground belongs to a certain lord of the west, whom she did her best to stay far away from....
