{5} Have Found You
It was a beautiful night tonight, stars twinkling high in the sky; specks of light to be loved and observed from the ground alone. On nights like this, where Kite had simply set up a small encampment at which he would stay for a period of time, the stars granted him a feeling of belonging and diminished the loneliness that crept upon him at unexpected moments. He watched the stars, a smile spreading unabated across thin lips as the fire directly in front of him went on crackling. It, too, granted an amount of comfort with it's frequent sounds in the otherwise dead night.
Kite's smile vanished near instantly and he came to look over his shoulder, tensed. With the use of En, he was capable of sensing any creatures who dared to draw near. Within 160 or so feet, he could sense their movements while hiding his own presence. Whoever it was seemed to be drawing near to him. Chances held that they were drawn particularly to the fire in front of him, which was a definite signal of someone being nearby. En seemed entirely impractical when granted with this fact, but it still allowed Kite to sneak up upon an enemy if one proved themselves to be such.
It seemed as though the one approaching was human and unwary enough to leave themselves exposed; that alone gave Kite enough of a reason not to move from his spot. He would wait until they stumbled upon him.
