"Aww. Aren’t you just sweet?" he giggled as he started to walk around the white haired man, obviously observing him. "Usually I prefer girls, but i guess for today I can torture a man. You should be honored!! I will make your body pretty with breaking it to tiny pieces!"

"I see. You must be terribly insecure in your own standings if you take your sadistic fantasies out on women primarily." Psychologically, chances stated that the boy - or girl, as it seemed more to be - must have undergone severe trauma. The most sadistic of killers sought revenge, especially so when they displayed mentally unstable behavior as this.

"I don't wish to fight, but if you insist upon it I will subdue you."

Was the man doing serious? He believed he could go against the Spider, to be able to compete with him? Well, Feitan had to realized he was not an ordinary person, which was equipped with a certain strength, a certain experience, but who knows if it was the same as in the assassination. The grin did not disappear from his lips while positioning his blade in a defensive manner, once he had landed on the ground.

"What is it? Why are you warning me? Are you afraid of me?" he asked with his voice seemed the cawing of a crow. His eyes shone with an ominous light as the shadows began to lengthen on the green grass. "Let me pass and maybe I will have mercy on your miserable life, on your miserable soul." he said, slightly lowering his face, hiding his mouth behind the black scarf.

I will kill you with no regard!

Silence fell for a moment or so as a breeze gently rolled along. Long, silver-white hair swished idly behind him, his gaze never leaving Feitan. Kite was completely tensed and ready to strike at a moment's notice. Perhaps if it wasn't within his job description that he must protect the animals beyond this point - and he assumed the animals were what Feitan was after - he may have considered the option of backing off. Even if it hadn't been in his job description, however... If Feitan's intent was to harm another creature beyond this point, Kite wouldn't allow such to go on. He held great disdain for poachers.

"I warn you now so that you can escape with your life. Leave - there's nothing of great value to you here." Still no emotion or fear showed in his voice. The prospect of death was hardly something that fazed him; he'd faced death on more than a few occasions. On more occasions, however, he was the one who played the card of death on others.

He continue to look at the white haired man in front of him as he started to walks around him, observing him. After a few seconds, Akumu flicked his index finger and smirked.

"Let’s see if you can run away from me, mister, " he said, his index finger on his chin. " If you manage to run away from me without any scars, you win."

So it was as his first impression believed. The lanky male drew back somewhat, wary of what the strange, apparently sadistic person may try. They appeared as only a child, so he couldn't bring himself to seriously hurt them if they attacked him. Regardless of age, however, it didn't mean they weren't dangerous.

"Is this your way of interacting with others? I can't say I approve..."

Feitan looked curious what this man was capable of doing, observing his power so extravagant that clashed with a seriously person like him. The boy licked his lips while laid his umbrella against the other hand, ready to get in a defensive position as he watched as the man arguing with that clown so strange, before some numbers appeared on the display. He must belong to the conjuration, he thought as recorded information, which maybe he told to his boss. He would do anything to protect the Spider.

He took a single step forward, while his body was wrapped in a grey and watched the man who now wielded a sword. “Great.” he commented while his purple eyes sparkled with amusement. “It will be a fair fight …” Feitan left the sentence unfinished as he felt the excitement pervaded his body, wrapped in a robe woven of darkness and blood. He would have no hesitation, no mercy because he was disturbing the Spider in its purpose, without letting it go further to pursue its path and reach its true goal.

He noticed that the dude did not make a step but remained there waiting for him to make the first move and that would not bother Feitan, who opened the big red umbrella to disappear behind it and jump into a tree to hit the man behind. In battle there are no rules, it is always a dirty job.

Is that how he would attack? An attempted, perhaps, diversion followed by his disappearance? Such a tactic wouldn't work against Kite very well. He had enough battle experience and Nen expertise behind him to counteract such a move with ease. Quickly, Kite swung around with agility that accentuated the fact that he was no push over. His sword raised above him protected him from the blow that followed. He pushed Feitan back, leaping backwards with some amount of practiced grace, even on those long, lanky limbs of his. A deep frown settle across his features.

"I warn you now to leave this place unless you wish death upon yourself." There wasn't an ounce of doubt or hesitation present within his voice. If he had doubts about whether or not he could handle Feitan, he surely didn't show it outwardly. Kite readied himself once more, again not taking the incentive to attack first. He was learning Feitan's attack strategy and, if it would come to it, Nen abilities as well.

"so many people! You guys sure know how to please me," he said smirking. "Ne, do you want to play a game ?”

"A game?" He didn't particularly like the feeling this one gave him. Kite cautiously kept his guard up. "What game might you be interested in?"

"Somewhat of an odd question... Generally I find my happiness when with animals. Being with them is what cheers me up."

Feitan stared at the man with long white hair stopped in front of him, his blue cap pulled down over his black hair. A sadistic smile curled Spider’s lips, while in his left hand clutching the red umbrella. The wind blew and shook his black hair, the black tunic which seemed to be sewn from the night, where on the scarf was embroided a winged skull. Purple eyes sparkled for a brief moment of a sinister left, before swallowing the afternoon sunlight filtering through the canopy of trees.

There was a lot of silence in that forest, as if every single animal was afraid of his lust for blood, his murderous aura. The short boy clung tightly to the handle of the umbrella, but he didn’t take a step to get close to the man, instead he preferred to hear the man’s words, which resonate like a gentle echo and bounce on the trunks of trees. Feitan laughed as if what he had said would scare him or stop him, but no one deserved to live if he tried to put a spanner in the works of the Spider. If he had done it, he would have been devoured.

"My purpose?" he asked as hoisted the umbrella on his left shoulder. "And why do you care? Rather, stand aside and let me pass, otherwise I will not have mercy on your miserable soul."

Yet despite the threat against his life and the ominous aura that assaulted him, the stoic man didn't falter for even a moment. He narrowed his gaze instead. He suspected that this would happen - the Phantom Troupe went where they wanted and killed those who got in the way. If it had to be that way, then so be it. Kite raised one hand and conjured up his Crazy Slots, resisting the urge to let out an aggravated sigh as the annoying voice spoke.

"YOOOOOOO! You must be in a lot of trouble to be summoning me already, Kite! HA HA HA HA HA, TRY NOT TO GET YOURSELF KILLED! It'd be unfortunate if you nearly died again~!!" ...Kite couldn't resist pinching the bridge of his nose out of sheer annoyance. He almost wanted to hit the idiotic clown, but resisted the urge. He had other matters to focus on. "Shut up and spin already..."

It gave a cacophonous laugh, but proceeded to spin around and around again. "Nine!" The slot glowed and morphed into a long, sharp sword. "Nine, eh? ....Bad spin..." At least he had a weapon now.

"I suspected you wouldn't give up so easily. Very well..." He moved into position with his sword at the ready, awaiting Feitan's attack.

{Hunter x And x Hunter}

It was time for a new job. Kite's previous job had been finished and his surveillance of the area was now done. He had been paid his fair amount and now it was time to find his latest work. It wasn't so much that the money was a needed thing - he had quite a lot of it, in fact. Kite merely wanted to keep his mind busy and do what he'd done all along; search for his true purpose. 

He was about to stop by the usual hiring agency he went to when he paused for a moment. The town was a fairly empty one. Hunters came and went on the occasion, but aside from those brief visits there was hardly a soul in sight most of the time. However, this time... In front of the agency he worked for, he took note of a figure. It was hard to make out their gender immediately, so he cast it aside as unimportant for the moment. He was curious; it was unusual to see another. He cautiously approached.

He hadn't much to say - he rarely did - so he found talking to the person to be too much of a burden to bother trying. He assumed his footsteps alone would be enough to alert the person to his presence.

It would be Kite's luck that he meet a Spider here of all places. Terrible luck it was... Not that such a concept was very foreign to Kite in the slightest. Just as always, he would roll with the punches as they were cast his way. An unreadable expression was spread across Kite's features. He was ready for a fight if one should ensue.

In front of him was someone he could recall - a figure he'd seen too often listed as a person that Blacklist Hunters all around the world were attempting to capture. Along with his fellow comrades, of course - but it was the one known as 'Feitan', if Kite could remember correctly. The lanky man knew he would have to be careful.

"What is your purpose here? There's nothing of interest here for you or your comrades."

{4} Seek You For Unknown Reasons

  A hunter? How convenient. She definitely felt much more safe knowing Kite was a reliable person. Still, his current job came off as a little odd for her, as she was only used to being around treasure or jackpot hunters. It wasn’t like she had a vast knowledge of the hunter world or was especially interested in it anyway; she happened to sometimes come across someone who was willing to tell her about their experiences.

The girl quickly removed the scarf covering her hair and gave Kite a calm smile, placing the cloth on her lap.

"Nice to meet you, Kite! My name’s Neon," a chirpy voice made sure to tell the man she felt comfortable enough already. "I’m a fortune teller. Well, at least I was," she chuckled softly even if she didn’t feel like it after that statement. Her father had told her countless times not to reveal her current status, unable to use her nen, but being as angry at him as she was, she didn’t care anymore.

"Nostrade?" He eyed her rather cautiously at the revelation of her name. There was only one Neon that he could think of whom was also a Fortune Teller. It was rather dangerous for him to take in someone of such high social status without reporting it to her father. Legal repercussions and a hit against him as a Hunter, undoubtedly, were a possibility.

"I hope that you realize you put anyone who helps you in danger. Both legally and in the face of those who want you dead." His voice was stern - almost scolding. However, his intent was merely to remind her of what she likely already knew. If she'd merely been a simple runaway similarly as he had once been, she could've easily gone under the radar undetected and be none the worse off. Unimportance was sometimes a beautiful thing.

...However, he lightened up slightly. He could assume there was a reason for her leaving. Kite was aware that everyone had their stories to tell, and he was compassionate enough to lend an ear to these stories. His tone became a bit less stern as he looked down somewhat. "Tell me, Neon, why have you left home?"

  "Hmm.." he looked deep in his eyes, deciding whether he should trust him or not, the last thing he remembers about Kaito in NGL is that he got killed.. Killua didn’t see that with his own two eyes, but it’s the only option.

His demeanor... Began to take on a more rigid stance. Killua for some reason or another simply didn't believe in the idea that he was alive and well. Concern was rising in the man's expression. He gave the boy a serious look.  

"Killua. Could you explain to me what's going on?"

  Miya stopped knowing it would be better to stay back until she knew who she was dealing with. Clearing her throat she prepared to raise the tone of her voice for him (She assumed it was a man by the voice) to hear.

"Hello?" She paused, "I’m an information hunter. I’ve been traveling the area researching some rumors."

An information Hunter? Kite supposed it was better than running into someone with the intent to kill. A very light sigh escaped the man's lips as he shifted himself enough for the flames to faintly illuminate his outline. Without reason to conceal himself, he allowed the girl - as he assumed by her voice just as she did with his own - a glimpse at what she was facing. 

 "Very well. Come over here and I'll give you the information you seek."

{4} Seek You For Unknown Reasons

  The girl’s featured brightened and a small smile curled her lips. It was nice for once to not be interrogated about the reasons of her escape or being rushed to go back home by a complete stranger who knew nothing about her motivations to do something like that.

Slowly, she took a couple steps towards Kite, still offering him a smile as she sat down beside him. The girl hadn’t realized it until now, but her feet hurt a bit from walking for so long.

"Thank you, sir."

Neon eyed the man curiously. There was something about him that, even if at the begining looked cold, told her he was no one to be afraid of if one came without bad intentions. 

"May I know your name?" Since she was going to stay there for a while, why not make a bit of conversation?

His gaze flicked from Neon and then forward again, eyes closing soon thereafter. Kite wasn't the most talkative person one could stumble across, nor was he very 'open' about most things unless he was certain he could trust an individual. Neon, unfortunately, didn't fall under that category just yet. Trust took time to earn.

"Kite." The name escaped his lips quietly. He reopened his eyes and glanced back at Neon as he continued just a bit; as if to reassure Neon that he really was no harm after all. "I'm a Hunter who's been hired to monitor a new organism in this local environment." It generally was what his work entailed. New organisms popped up frequently and not all of them were quite so hospitable. At the current time, they were in no danger.

"What of you?"
