Gorgeous shiny silvertone mesh covers both pieces, which include a bifold wallet lined with nylon, as well as an accessory case, which was designed to hold calling cards, which were popular at the time these were made (the 1930s), handkerchiefs, and coins. Many ladies carried these types of accessory cases to avoid carrying a larger purse. Both pieces were made by Whiting and Davis, who have been making fine mesh pieces since 1876. The wallet measures 4" x 3" closed and has an attached cloth tag signed "Whiting and Davis, Mesh Bags."
