Multiplayer Misogyny

You know, when I hear people talking about how online gaming is still a pretty hostile environment towards fem gamers(because it is), I think back to a game I played on Halo Reach.

I was searching for team slayer games on my own, so I got matched with randys for teamates. 

The other team was comprised entirely of girls, 4 of them, with something in their gamertags matching for all of them(I don't remember what, it's been a long time).

So of course as soon as the other dudebros on my team hear them speak they immediately start giving them crap and talking about how bad they must be because they're girls (among lots of other stuff I frankly don't want to repeat, but you get the picture. Jerks to the 10th power.)

So the game begins. I do remember the map it was on - Zealot. Kind of a big circle, with a lower middle area and a second-level circular hallway around the perimeter. 

I frequently found myself on the opposite side of the circle from where all the action was going down, but the killfeed and the screaming mics told me all I needed to know. They were absolutely shredding the guys that assumed they weren't going to be able to play. 

The game ended and they had demolished our team, it was around 50-23. They not only beat my team, but scored twice as much. 

The other 3 mouthbreathers on my team left the post-game lobby before the girls even had a chance to say anything. I was just kind of laughing uncontrollably at this point, so then they all left too.

Moral of the story is: don't be a misogynist gamer, you will get your ass kicked, guaranteed. And when you do get destroyed, no one will be there to save you.
