How unnecessarily rude.

If finding herself lost in a planet filled to the brim with trash wasn't bad enough, Mantis was also facing the wrath of some stranger she tried to help. She felt uneasier by the minute, a worry that was not for herself but for her friends. Alone, anxious, the empath had still found the courage to approach the stranger, who had been stumbling around prompting Mantis to believe he was hurt. But no, he wanted to hurt. His threats and the hostility radiating off him in waves made that abundantly clear.

"C-Can we not speak?" Mantis wouldn't fight him, but she would defend herself. Two retractable blades emerged from the sleeves of her green fingerless gloves. "Whatever needs to be settled, I am sure we can do so peacefully—"

“ look i’m not nat, i’m a little more easily persuaded. ”   tony rolled his eyes, his arms folded against his chest as he looked to the trickster. SHIELD had tried to make up some more rules regarding loki being here now that thanos was gone. one of those had been him staying inside, always where somebody could see him but loki was rather persuasive and he was just as good at grinding tony down until he gave in it seemed. 

he pulled himself off of the wall and stepped towards loki with narrowed eyes.  “ ten minutes, alright? you get ten minutes outside and do not go out of my sight. otherwise we’re both in trouble. ”

This whole thing was just... Off. She was training new recruits with Loki and she felt there was something odd about their interactions. He seemed to do things that would irritate her on purpose, but then times he would do things that just made her go "huh?" It was infuriating. So, she decided to try something because why not.

After a training session, she held him back in the gym, her exercise pants and sports bra the only things on. It seemed to be begrudgingly that he stayed back, but Natasha didn't care. When she caught him off guard, she pinned him to the mat and kissed him, nipping his lower lip before she pulled away.

"There. Now people will stop looking at us weird and we can stop acting like this wasn't going to happen at some point. Your move."

for real though. i gotta restate this fact because it continues to amaze me. how did i not know about jeff goldblum earlier?

Perhaps running around his apartment with his mask still on was a bad decision. Considering the typical reactions to it, he should’ve been prepared. ( Really, he shouldn’t have to wear it in his own home but he had a ‘guest’ over. ) He wasn’t even sure the clothing he set aside might even fit the guy but still had them set aside on the dresser. 

At least his reaction skills were sharp enough that when he opens the door with food, he’s prepared for anything that might come. He’s aware the man is awake & only offers an indifferent grunt. There’s no real point in talking if his guest wishes to be hostile. Waking up in a strange place with a strange man in a skull mask doesn’t exactly exude safety. 

But he likes to think his bed was incredibly comfortable enough to rest in. 

 Ryan slowly steps over to place the food down on the bedside table. Then he picks up the fork & holds it out for him.
