i scrolled through the gallery and found my first OC, created in 2023, her name is Helaena, although she has nothing to do with Dance era. i just simply adore the name

i had a very strong urge to completely re do her face from scratch but I held back and tried to preserve her original facial features. as y'all can see, back then i tried to stick to maxis match as much as possible, convinced that i would never use any alpha cc. right now i'm writing this post and looking back at 2023, and I can't help but condemn the sweet summer child that i was. never say never ૮₍ ˃ ⤙ ˂ ₎✌︎︎

i've seen many of my friends making their own cas challenges, so i decided i would make my own! i tried to make it less asoiaf oriented so more people could participate :) so -- i introduce the oc then & now challenge! it's so interesting how something as simple as skin details can completely change a sim!

of course i had to do teya and aemond as they are my most precious sims.

find an oc you have multiple iterations of in the gallery

take a picture of the first time you made that oc in cas and show your more recent version/remake them in your simstyle now

can be an oc or character from any media

post and tag a couple friends :)

i chose one of my oc Godhrilfin which i haven't showed here yet and because i wanted to show some male sim too. i have him in almost every silmarillion/lotr/fantasy save. it took me long time to find earliest version of him but only found the oldest from 2024

Godhrilfin is an elf, half Silvan from his father's side and half Noldor from his mother's. he was born in late Second Age, few years after destruction of Eregion, his parents met in Lothlorien and lived there until the War of the Last Alliance in which his father died and his mother later too from grief. he was taken in as a foster son by Lord Celeborn and Galadriel and became skilled in combat and a great soldier. most of the Galadhrim regard him as their prince, but he never count himself as one. during Third Age he travelled throught Eriador, looking for any sight of evil forces.

that was a quick summary about him but i have many other ideas about him and his parents also

This challenge is based on my ongoing obsession with making alien pop stars when I'm obsessed with a song. NOW YOU TOO CAN JOIN IN THE FUN.

~*~RULES~*~

First, click on this link here and spin the wheel for a song.

1: The Sim Must Be Based Off This Song In Some Way. Whether lyrics, artist wise, or vibes.

2: Alien Style. "But Dizzy-", you say, "don't you mean Occult Alien?". Look those are a canon specific species which is limiting. So do what you want and have a blast. They may be vampire occults but from your own special planet, I don't know, have fun. It's a vibe thing.

3: D I V A. Look. This is the one hard rule. they must have D I V A energy. It could be the relaxed, fairy king charisma of Hozier or the Mother Monster powerhouse of Lady Gaga, but they gotta be the kind of figure to hold a crowd's attention. (Or if you can justify else wise have at it. Such as Chappelle Roan at the beginning of the Pink Pony Club music video vs her final stage.)

4: Have Fun. Self explanatory.

5: TAG MEEE I WANT TO SEE THEM. Also the tag for this challenge will be #SimAlienIdol or #AlienIdolChallenge !

EXTRA RULE: If you have inspo and just want to make a pop alien based on a song you are vibing to GO FOR IT MY FRIEND I WANNA SEE IT.

Now you may ask- "hey why these songs? These seem random". BECAUSE THEY KINDA ARE. I wanted a fun selection, but the focus is on 2024/2025 hits on the pop charts. Only one per artist, and my focus was on songs that I felt would help the theme of the challenge.

There are also some curveballs on there! But yes, they either charted, OR were a fairly popular song from a well known band/singer.
