Alenia Vandan Alenia is a daughter of two wealthy elven merchants. Her life was relatively calm, growing up in a boring elven city. She took an interest in healing and attended a school for healers. She derives her healing powers from an old Elven goddess. After graduating from training, she set off in search of an adventure, unwilling to return to her boring hometown.

Anton Rose Anton is the son of a minor noble. He grew up spoiled, wanting for nothing. From a young age, he displayed a talent for magic, which his family proudly nurtured. Once he got older, he was sent to a magic college to continue his studies. He was near the top of the class, and graduated with high honors. Now he's taking time after graduating traveling around, looking for new ways to spend his parents' money.

Dyana and Orna Swallowcrest Dyana and Orna are sisters who have been inseparable essentially since birth. Now, in their older age, they own a inn together. Dyana is the main service person and manages the money, while Orna cooks and serves as a healer, aiding injured travelers.

Malerius Vorril A warlock who has sold his soul to an evil demon in exchange for immense power. He is able to summon and manipulate power at will. Charismatic and well-spoken, but very vain. He takes a lot in pride in dressing well. Can't stand being called nicknames.

As the party started to wind down, Harlow made an announcement to her family: she and Nia are moving to Del Sol Valley next week! Most of the family was happy for her - if a little surprised - but Shelby was less glad to hear the news.

Joseph: Uh, hey. You must be Harlow.

Harlow: And you must be Joseph.

J: Uh, I like your kid. She’s cool.

H: Thanks! I tend to like her too, but I’m a bit biased.

Anton: Joseph, why don’t we join Nia outside?

J (under his breath): Thank god. (average volume) Yeah, sure!

Nia: I can’t believe Papa is getting married! Wait- will that make us related?!

Joseph: Uh, I guess. I’d technically be your... step-uncle, I think?

N: Cool! Now I’ll have an cool uncle instead a baby uncle!

J: “Baby uncle”?

N: My other grandpa and his girlfriend just had twins! Wesley and Anaya are really little and boring.

J: Uh... Good to know. Family tree projects must be messy.

N: My teacher said it was sort of confusing, but she liked the detail I put into the leaves. Course, Mom actually did that, but I didn’t tell Mr. Reyas that.

J: Smart move, kid.

N (from the living room): Joseph, can you and Nia come here please?

Harlow: Your fiance? I didn’t even know you were dating and now you’re engaged? What the fuck, Papa?

Grant: Harlow, please calm down a moment-

H: Oh no, you do not get to tell me to calm down- why are you and dad like this? Jesus, even a heads up call ahead of time would suffice! The slightest mention that you’re dating someone! But nooo, both you and dad just love surprising me with a new significant other!

Nia (from the kitchen): Mom? Are you okay?

H: ... I’m fine, baby! (to Anton) Look, I’m sorry. I’m sure you’re a great person, I’m just...

Anton: Really surprised?

H: To put it nicely, yeah.

N: How about this - I’ll grab Nia and Joseph and we’ll play some basketball while you and Grant talk. If that’s okay with you?

H: I mean.. yeah. But who’s Joseph?

Harlow: Oh- hi, I didn’t realize Papa was having guests over. I’m Harlow and the little one that just made a beeline to the kitchen is Nia, my daughter.

Grant: Har-

Anton: You’re Harlow? Wow, it’s amazing to finally meet you!

H: I mean, thank you, but why?

A: Right, I didn’t tell you my name, of course you wouldn’t recognize me. I’m Anton Bray.

Grant: Harl-

H: Uh...?

A: You don’t- Grant, please tell me you gave her even the slightest heads up.

G: I was going to! Then I thought it would be better for you to meet in person-

H: Hi, I’m still in the room. What exactly is going on?
