after their engagement, julia had moved in with phoenix and his family. it was really great for a while, but julia kept putting off talking about the upcoming wedding and didn’t seem that excited. eventually, one morning, she called off the engagement and ended things with patrick. patrick was, of course, incredibly upset, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe this was for the best...he and julia remain friends, but she packed her things and moved back to her parents house the next morning.

patrick’s friend julia has been coming around a lot more and he told her the things that have been happening with his parents. she’s been a comfort to him, too, and she stopped by during winterfest with a little gift. overcome with appreciation and adoration...they kissed! julia seemed surprised, but she didn’t outright reject him. instead she asked patrick if she could think about things and maybe they could try going on a couple dates.

patrick and julia have been dating a while, and on love day he popped the question. julia said yes of course, but it’s all happening pretty quickly, and patrick immediately began having some reservations...

patrick aged up! he got a job in the tech guru field because he spent his teen years learning to program. he didn’t stay in an entry level position for long, though, and in a few weeks became a project manager. he loves being home to look after sonja and isn’t sure when he wants to move out. meanwhile, his relationship with julia is going well and he’s happy with how things are going.

julia is one of patrick’s closest school friends. they swim at the public pool in oasis springs every friday with their other friends, in a little club they made. laurie’s job has her work from 10-7, so she gets home a little later at night than phoenix does, and patrick is always so happy to see her and talk about his new favorite video games and the long walk he and cashew went on after school!
